He just needs to stay healthy and he will be very nice center for years to come.

The bulls have no idea what they had in him. He will be a solid starter for years if he can stay healthy as pepe said.

WCJ is eligible for a contract extension this summer. So is Bamba, but I suspect the Magic are more willing to let Mo's rookie deal play out and let him get to restricted free agency and re-evaluate there than they are with WCJ.

What's a fair price in your mind for a WCJ extension? Do you even offer him one?

Here's what some other top 10 bigs got coming off their rookie deals.

2010
Derrick Favors: 4/47
DeMarcus Cousins: 4/66 max

2011
Enes Kanter: 4/70
Tristan Thompson: 5/82
Jonas Valanciunas: 4/64
Nikola Vucevic 4/53

2012
Anthony Davis: 5/127 max
Andre Drummond: 5/127 max

2013
Cody Zeller: 4/56

2014
Joel Embiid: 5/148 max

2015
Karl-Anthony Towns: 5/158 max
Kristaps Porzingis: 5/158 max
Myles Turner: 4/80

2016
Jakob Poeltl 3/26
Domatas Sabonis 4/77

2017
Bam Adebayo 5/163 max

Depends on what's going on with the cap moving forward. If the cap is going to grow significantly, we can afford to throw out a reasonable deal now. 4/60 is what I would prefer but NBA GM's are stupid and his agent may hear that he can get more in the open market. Who knows...

Hopefully he has a healthy few years ahead of him. It's nice having a guy that can bang down low. One basket he made in the last game really had me pumped, he just knocked the crap out of someone on the way to the basket.

Only 22 and strong as hell, really hopeful about this guy, agreed on the injury history, I need to look at what type of injuries he got and whether there was anything in particular that was a concern.

No serious injuries. They were a thumb, ankle, abdomen, and bruised quad.

That's good to know, young strong dude trying to bang early in his career going to pick up knocks. Hopefully he finishes out the season strong for us!

I think I remember JJ having one, and it takes a long time to heal. Not sure how it happens.

that too but its more bc he stinked and literally was unplayable with Lauri who was considered the second coming of Dirk.
I know Carter had talent and theres a reason he was drafted number 7 but you never build for him. You always build around the superior player which is Lauri/Lavine. Not only fit, but he also complained and pouted every single game he was locker room cancer.

For magic, he has no problem bc there is no issue of fit and currently no one better than him.

There is no way that he got here and magically got better. I don’t know what is going on in Chicago but BD and Boyle had no idea how to use him or develop him. I fear the same thing is happening with Lauri as he has looked terrible as of late. Coby is just garbage and no one should take blame other than the GM that drafted him

Lauri has never been a good basketball player. He's touted as this great shooter, who by the numbers just isn't actually a great shooter. I used to get into endless debates with people on this board early on in his career when people would argue he was a better player than Isaac. Lauri will never make much tangible impact on a team.

Horrible defender, average finisher at the rim, subpar midrange shooter, && is a streaky barely average 3pt shooter.

It's a completely different scenario with Carter who has an impactful skillset, yet just has never been able to find his footing due to injuries and subpar coaching. All you had to do was turn on the tape and see there is a lot to work with though. Clifford is the perfect coach for his playing style imo.
