Did anybody ever hit back to back buzzerbeaters before Derozan? He is one cold blooded MF this year. Hands down allstar.

Apparently he’s the first player ever to hit buzzerbeaters in back to back games!

He’s so good right now. Credit to the bulls for putting together this team

Sounds like there is blame to go around but KPJ just seems like a kid who can’t keep it together. It’s a shame. He has a lot to contribute on the court.

whole lotta posters calling Demar trash not too long ago based on very particular metrics...the guy's always been a star in this league. San Antonio was not a good fit (apparently) and Kawhi was just better than him (for TOR)...there's no way it was simple "addition by subtraction" regarding their ring...not a superstar, but a star.

Just look how much worse it could be! The on-court product is pretty bad but the Magic play hard and have a strong locker room. Good enough for this tanking season.

Prime example of roster with way too many young players and nobody older, smarter and experienced to guide them into right direction.

I’m quite happy with this season all things considered. Injuries happen. It sucks. It is what it is. This season is not about winning games. So let’s focus on what this season is really about:

* We are headed towards another high pick to build with

* Team chemistry appears strong

* Cole has taken another big step in his development

* How can anyone not be absolutely THRILLED with Franz?

* Carter, Bamba and even RJ have also shown progress

* Suggs is a wild card at the moment. The defense is there. We saw the offense pickup just before the injury. How good can he be? We shall see …

* All that positivity and we haven’t even talked about the upcoming return of Fultz or Isaac

* We still have trade chips in Harris + Ross to make some moves with at the deadline as well

Pistons were right to not resign Wood. Guy is just cancer and stat chaser. It seems like he just played last game for Houston.
porter was traded for heavily protected second round, top 55 protected pick , this time around he will probably go even cheaper

Anyway, team like Magic shouldn't be touching them, but some teams with good structure will probably take fly.

Agreed. I have often said that we need some talented tough guys on the roster but we don't need talented idiots.

Yeah, I disagree about the vet take. It's a bunch of BS. Put a bunch of idiots together and you get stupid behavior. Age doesn't matter all that much. Do young guys do dumb stuff? Sure but KPJ is a troubled young man and it is too much to ask a stranger (vet) to undo the crap he was raised in.

Evan Fournizz...what a game. Good for him. Maybe he just loosened up the Jaylen Brown trade to ORL

ORL sends: #1 overall pick, CHI '23 frp, Cole Anthony, Fultz, TRoss
BOS sends: #11 overall pick, Jaylen Brown, Nesmith (not Mike Nesmith of the Monkees, the other one)

ORL drafts Benedict Mathurin at 11
BOS selects their favorite big to better pair with Tatum, Fultz, and all of their new bench firepower

Suggs/RJ/ MCW
Mathurin
F. Wagner/Nesmith
WCJ/Okeke/M. Wagner
Isaac/Bamba/RoLo
**ORL still has significant offseason cap space and all of their picks, plus Den 1st and BOS 2nds, also large TPE (also due to EVAN :D )

Everything is a trade thread to me...I need help!

You were so excited to list out the 3rd-string scrubs that I think you forgot someone in your fantasy!

The Celts is currently outside the play-ins. I expect Boston to be active in the trade markets to either marginally improve to make the play-ins (i.e. trade for Ross), or reset the roster to try to assemble a top-4 team next year (i.e. a big-splashy trade of all kinds of parts).

Then your idea:
ORL sends: #1 overall pick, CHI '23 frp, Cole Anthony, Fultz, TRoss
BOS sends: #11 overall pick, Jaylen Brown, Nesmith (not Mike Nesmith of the Monkees, the other one)

ORL drafts Benedict Mathurin at 11

I like the thoughts, but given that Orlando needs to move on from Isaac, and that the Celts want to "toughen up" (i.e. get better on defense), then I would swap Isaac for Fultz. Assuming the Magic resign Bamba, resign Schofield, and activated the team option on M-Wagner, the team is a starting C away from having a very good team next year:

Suggs/Fultz/LLE vet-or_rookie
Brown/Hampton/Schofield
F-Wagner/Nesmith/Schofield
Carter/Okeke/LLE vet-or_rookie
some-C/Bamba/M-Wagner

That looks like a 41+ win roster to me.

He’s playing in the role he should’ve had here. Never had the talent level on the wings around him. Very well deserved.

Probably not since the Celtics are struggling to reach that level and they have Tatum for Franz.

I think you guys need to consider the intangibles that Cole Anthony brings to this young team before you trade him too quickly. His gunning might eventually put a cap on how good the team can be, and he might need to be traded eventually if he won't accept the right role, but I suspect he's one of the key players keeping everyone engaged during this rebuild.

Denver just traded for Bol Bol. Good low risk trade for them. That’s not to say he’s set to light it up.
