Sounds like Lonzo Ball could still miss more significant time.

I've heard Anfernee Simons brought up before in the threads so what's the possibility he might play for the Magic in the future? I think there's a good chance it might happen cause he is from Altamonte Springs. He was born and from Altamonte Springs.

He also went to Edgewater high school and played for IMG academy

If we get another starter with the Bulls pick next season, it might be a top 5 trade of all-time.

Chicago can go either way. They can either flame out big time from now till then or since they are in win now mode they may have a similar year to this season.

For me it is unlikely that Chicago will become horrible. The Bulls was the 18th worst team last year. I expect something in that range this year: say from 16-20. In that range Orlando absolutely will be drafting for a core rotational player.

As much crap as our front office gets I can’t remember the last time another team (not to mention a really respected executive in Connelly) is looking to poach one of our guys but yea our front office sucks

Fine print disclaimer for Fultz:
I am high on Markelle Fultz. Yes I understand he is not perfect and needs to shoot more and better and turn the ball over less. I would really like to see him play one more year… and I did and he sucks time to move on.

Hired in 2012. Works in nba since 1994.
Promoted 3 times in 10 years.

Working at drafting.
Magic allstars drafted in lottery in 10 years: 0.

Guy is nailing his job. Somehow even survived Hennigan getting fired. A** licking level: over 9000.
That's only way how to explain how guy drafted Hezonja, Payton, Bamba in 4 years and wasn't fired for it.
Especially because best second round pick Magic got in 10 years is still... Kyle O'quinn drafted 10 years ago.

How about drafting a guy without a functional right elbow?

He was never going to develop, and dozens of such images are "revealing", to say the least:

Zimmerman had elbow degeneration that had to require massive reconstruction surgery probably at younger age. But never went through and it was huge limitation factor in his game.
Funniest part about Zimmerman was how dominant his G league career was , guy was there posting Hakeem-like stats.

Lavine and Ball are both having knee issues.

You have Brooklyn, Atlanta, Cleveland, Charlotte, and NY right behind them in the standings. I could see a scenario where all those teams pass them.

Other teams that could be wildcards in the eastern conference next season are Indiana, Washington, and Detroit.

Even if Chicago doesn't regress, I can't see them being out of the teens again next season. They were probably thinking when the made trade that would give up a pick in the teens last season and a pick in the mid-twenties next season.

My dream scenario is for Orlando to bump them out of the playoffs in the final week of the season like New Orleans did to the Lakers.

Even if LaVine walks, the Bulls have DeRozan who's a RS world beater. They will not miss the play-ins with that type of roster.
East #1 Draft Picks: Fultz, Banchero, Wiggins, Cuninigham
West #1 Draft Picks: Edwards, WIlliamson, Ayton, Towns

Here’s a bit of trivia for you: Which rookie from this stacked 2021 NBA Draft class has played the most minutes in the Conference Finals?

BN: The last rookie standing in the 2022 NBA Playoffs

Answer here:
Spoiler:
The answer, with an impactful 64 minutes played over the course of five games, is none other than Golden State’s other rookie: the No. 14 overall pick Moses Moody.

Hey guys, Nets fan here, I come in peace. I wasn't sure where to ask this question but figured this might be the thread. As Magic fans, would you guys be open to trading Wendell Carter Jr this summer? He's a solid, young center on a good contract and while there's certainly no need to trade him, Magic are still a rebuilding team and Orlando could get a good return back for him. And if you're open to trading, what kind of return would you realistically be looking for?

Unless its for a star, then no thanks. This isnt a homer over valuing answer BUT look at it from our end, we got him at a contract STEAL. Not only that, he kept on improving. Then there is the fact that we are pretty thin upfront because aside from WCJ and MoWagner, we have no sure bigs. Isaac is always a question mark until he proves he can play back, Bamba and RoLo aren't sure tp be returning and our #1 pick is a PF ( whoever of the top 3 he might be ).

Besides, you are right and we are rebuilding, WCJ contract and age is perfect for us.

I don't think he's untouchable. Also depends on how he plays when the stakes are higher.. but for right now he's definitely hard to part with because for his production his contract is very cheap and he's still very young. Wouldn't really make sense for us unless we specifically drafted Chet and he can't play any other position. Then it becomes a discussion but for now I think he's too valuable for us.

Just wondering what you guys think

viewtopic.php?f=2&p=99443254#p99443254

After watching some Magic games, noticed that reliable 3pt shooting was lacking. Trading for WCJ, drafting Wagner and bringing his brother along make me wonder. Has Isaac future in ORL.
