Here is the new thread for all of us to talk about what is going on in the Association outside of the Magic.

I will start by saying that I have been really enjoying the 1st round of the playoffs so far. The games are much more entertaining now that the home court plays a factor again. Great to see the fans back in the arenas.

Home court seems to really matter now that we got fans spitting and throwing popcorn on guys.

they need to take these fans and put them in a room with the athlete they are doing that stuff too (well maybe not Trae). but that kid who threw popcorn on Russ, he would get destroyed.

Also mine : Don't believe in smallball. Players dominating in the POs are bigger than average for their position.

chris paul has to be the unluckiest star in history man....whenever it's playoff time there always seems to be a freak injury that happens to him....whatever is going on with him is clearly affecting him.....normal chris paul isn't passing up open three pointers....without chris at full capacity they can't beat the lakers

Playing against even bit taller player is a b*** , just play street ball and you will see how iritating it is. Just can't reach for him.
Blazers are to me worst built roster around superstar i have ever seen. They have 3 groups of players:
1) guards who are 6'3 at most ( like ,60% of roster fits that description)
2) wings who are as one dimensional as possible ( Melo, RHJ)
3) bigs who can't defend ( Nurkic, Kanter, Collins...)

Size matters, people who think bigs will dissapear from nba are simply wrong. As long as target hangs in air, being tall will be adventage.

Man, the playoffs show why the magic have been bad in recent history. When 2 of your 3 main guys for the last 6 years are now complementary pieces for other teams, it kinda indicates why you weren't winning. Really disappointed in Evan, other than Tatum there is really nothing on that Boston team. He should be better

Evan has cost himself a ton of money this offseason. On the first point, we've known for a while we've lacked overall talent.

Evan really did cost himself some money. He should have never requested a trade. He should have stayed in Orlando until his contract was up and milked the opportunity here to get more money. He has kinda gotten exposed.

But maybe at this stage of his career money doesn't mean anything and he has made enough. And maybe he may get a good contract regardless with excuse he was still adjusting to his new team in Boston and was out a long period of time due to Covid issues hence why his bad play.

I don't think Evan has lost much money, when he's been healthy he's been solid most of the time in Boston. He was never likely to get a huge contract. He's shooting lights out from 3, which is huge in the modern NBA and from what I've seen his D has been decent.

First time I see someone calling out Nurkic for defense. I think he did solid job outside of fouling too much.

Evan is a Joe Harris level impact player on a team that we had as our 2nd option. Not his fault, we obviously need offensive stars.

IMO, Evan is a solid 3rd option. He was 2nd option with us and currently is pushed down to 4th on Celtics, but I doubt he is resigning there.

Honestly, I believe he would make a great 6th man for a team like the Lakers.
