Hello everybody.

Been lurking lately, but a member since '04. Shoutout to Howard Mass!

Let's discuss the up-to-date All-time Orlando Magic roster as we usually do almost every offseason. This time we'll have the likes of Vucevic and others who are no longer on the Magic that we can sprinkle into the mix. It's always fun identifying which players fans add to the roster as time passes and new generations emerge.

The format of your choosing should mirror the following:


PG: Starter/2nd/3rd
SG: Starter/2nd/3rd
SF: Starter/2nd/3rd
PF: Starter/2nd/3rd
Ce: Starter/2nd/3rd


Players performances should be based ONLY on their time spent on the Magic. For example, it may not make sense putting Patrick Ewing in the lineup necessarily, since you're not supposed to be basing him off his career like with the Pistons (Ewing played his last season with the Magic). Also the player needs to meet a minimum 82 games played on the Magic roster.

With all that said, i'll go first...

PG: Hardaway/Nelson/Armstrong
SG: McGrady/Carter/Anderson
SF: Turkoglu/Scott/Hill
PF: Lewis/Grant/Outlaw
Ce: O'neal/Howard/Vucevic

Ummm because arguably Carter>Nick Anderson? You obviously didnt read my full post about "only when playing on the magic". I specifically referenced Ewing in it.

Now to chime in on the Anderson v Carter debate. I chose Anderson due to his larger scale of work, having played 10 seasons with the Magic, but I certainly don’t argue Carter being ahead in some people’s minds either, as Carter was a mega star at one time and he was very good in Orlando, and in fact would have had better numbers if not for Rashard Lewis’ presence in the lineup. I’d also like to shout out Ron Seikaly and Marcin Gortat, 2 of my all time Magic favs.

Vince had 1 and 1/4 season at about 16 ppg. Nick had 2 seasons at 20 ppg and 5 more seasons at 15 ppg. I give the edge to Nick over Vince, especially as the OP poster said, their time with Orlando

And 3D Scott over Hill for sure as well.

Who's the best sixth man? B Shaw or TRoss? Coach, SVG, B Hill, or Doc.

With 513 games played, I am a little surprised ePat is not on anyone's list.

Assuming the goal is to assemble the best team, complimentary players mean more than the "best" players. As such I would definitely look to Skiles, Fournier, Gordon, and Redick as potential backups.

Not sure, I am really in doubt about Ho or Lewis, I believe it would depend on the matchup or if it's 90s or nowadays.

If we’re talking best bench guys in Magic history, the conversation really starts with Darrell Armstrong, T-Ross, JJ Redick and Marcin Gortat. There were some unsung guys who didn’t score like those guys worth mentioning too like Bo Outlaw and Derek Strong.

Mine would be the same. A team of the "A" options would be frightening and also well balanced.

No offense, but screw Grant Hill. Mike Miller's taking his spot on my all-time roster.
