I'm glad to bring him.

Excuse you, that's Mr. Former Orlando Magic Interim Head Coach Chris Jent to you.
11/18/2017 - I have officially disowned Nikola Vucevic and branded him a loser.

- Skal Labissiere was my guy in 2016 pre-trade. Whoops, but I still believe.
- Malik Monk was my guy in 2017. Whoops(?)
- Mo Bamba was my guy in 2018. TBD.

I hear Travis Diener is in the running so that every player on the team becomes elite at every aspect of the game just due to his sheer presence.

It's true that, across the NBA, many front offices have grown increasingly involved in such choices, and fewer head coaches are now granted full agency to choose their assistants. Orlando president Jeff Weltman, for example, will play a significant role in hiring members of new head coach Jamahl Mosley's staff, sources told B/R.

That's interesting and a little concerning. However, Tibbetts sounds great. Another younger guy who helped coach Portland's backcourt? Yes, please. We're going young. We're going developmental. Love it.

apparently, it's starting to become the new normal. It also explains the type of coaches we interviewed, because I don't think any experienced coaches would let it fly to allow the FO to be involved with their staff hires.

A lot of people on our bench and in our team will be hungry to prove themselves next year. Should be a good energy around the team.

I'm more excited for the start of this season than I have been for a good few years.

Canales is another guy with a resume pretty similar to Mosley. Has been in the NBA for 14 years as an assistant despite only being 43 years old. Broke in through the video room in his late 20s.

He worked in Portland under Nate McMillan and Terry Stotts, in Dallas under Rick Carlisle (and with Jamahl Mosley), in New York under David Fizdale, and in Indiana under Nate Bjorkgren.

Dale Osbourne is a long time Terry Stotts assistant who also has G-League head coaching experience. Joined the Blazers when Stotts was hired and has been there ever since.

I'm intrigued with Bret Brielmaier. Coached with the Spurs as player development & video coordinator, also coached with Cavs and won championship there, then worked on Atkinson's staff in BK.
