When we send our absolute best, it’s not competitive. This isn’t a shot at players across the world. The gap IS in fact closing. Embiid, Luka, Dirk, and Giannis all prove that.

I’m rooting for this team to win gold of course but let’s be real here. Javale McGee, an 10th man on most NBA teams, is part of this team. This is a C+ Level talent squad, it’s not winning gold unless Durant and Lillard take the bull by the horns and make this team their own.

I would personally say calling the "US people" arrogant is an attack on us, personally. People get suspended for saying the same type of thing to different fanbases.

But it's not arrogance to say you're the best when you're actually the best. European, Asian, and African players agree with this. That's why most of them try to come here.

Euros claiming that they have basketball leagues on the same exact level as the NBA is like if I were to claim that the MLS was just as good as European leagues. That is factually incorrect. No other way to put it.

Absolutely fine take to have. It's like when I watch the Lakers, Heat, or a superteam lose. Nothing but excitement when you watch a superteam lose.

It is also great to see players getting better everywhere. 2 of the 3 best players in the NBA, imo, are from outside of the Country in Giannis and Doncic.

The NBA IS the best league in the world in the BEST country in the world and it always will be, that's why all the best players IN THE WORLD strive to come here to play and not Turkey...

I'm glad we're arrogant because we've been good AF. This particular team though isn't showing heart or toughness, maybe they've been too busy pretending to care about social issues IDK. Yep, comparing US team to superteam is right on spot and it is perceived by many that this similarity goes for the fans as well, thus arrogance talk. My point about starting on wrong foot was that IMO thread seem a bit too personal and might instigate non-basketball related tensions.
