If we could trade for Simmons without giving up Isaac, Fultz, Suggs or our unprotected pick we should absolutely do it.
He will thrive in a low pressure situation where he's the undisputed star of the team and his trade value is at an all time low.

If Simmons is an on-ball PF, then I guess Isaac is the SF and Suggs and Fultz are off-ball combo-guards. Add "some Center", and this is a weird but interesting starting five.

If we got Simmons, I don't think there is still a place for Fultz on the roster, unless his shooting magically returned. Too much overlap...I'm not suggesting PHI would want him in the trade.

if Fultz doesn't start to shoot I am not sure he has a place in the starting 5, regardless of who is on the court, and then who cares about the fit. Fultz and his 2 guaranteed years shouldn't be impacting any top(ish) player acquisitions.

Maybe I am wrong and the FO already know Fultz is going to turn his career around, and done nothing but shoot set shots for the last 9 months, and has the touch of Steph Curry....AND he can fit next to anybody.

Point is, if the FO think they can build a winner with Simmons, they should agressively pursue. Move Fultz or let him run the 2nd unit for the next couple years. Personally, I'd probably push the peak down the road, and hope that we nail (another) draft pick next year

Harris+ross+2 future 1sts for simmons

Philly get vets who can spread the floor for embid

We get the best player obviously but I still don't like the fit

Fultz,suggs,cole MCW
suggs,RJ,cole moore
simmons,chuma,frants
JI,frantz,MO
MO,WCJ,lopez

that s a great defensive team though, I think MO's ability to spread the floor could match well with simmons

best to have simmons and fultz to spend the less amount of minutes on the floor together

suggs,RJ,Simmons,JI,MO

Fultz,Suggs,chuma,JI,WCJ
Draft Carter
Sign monk
Trade Cole for a forward
Let chuma+fultz go
Offer goga a 1+1 deal

unleash Jett next seaon

Go Magic

Your not getting Simmons without including Suggs in the package. Would you guys do it?

I don't understand why this is even a discussion as the Magic organization would never consider trading for him being they don't have the assets.

If we could flip Isaac + Ross + Cole + CHI pick for Simmons + Maxey I’d do it in a heartbeat - if Simmons guaranteed to show up and honour his contract.

Bamba/WCJ
Okeke/MoWag
Simmons/Fran
Maxey/RJ/Harris
Suggs/Fultz

It wouldn’t surprise me if that team was on the fringes of a play-in spot at the end of the year. Might not be what we want, but there are too many pieces that know how to play well, despite shortcomings.

Right now I actively want the Magic to move on from Isaac. So I like this trade. Simmons with Fultz and Suggs, it is an odd collection. But those three can defend and it could run the triangle. So, sure.

I wouldn’t trade Suggs for Simmons straight up. The Magic would NEVER do that we got lucky Suggs fell to us.

Right now, there is not a player in the league the Magic would trade Suggs for. Well: maybe Dončić and Antetokounmpo. But that is a list of two.

Green is a better defender and rebounder. Simmons is a better scorer and distributor. Actually their games are quite dissimilar.

It is obvious that this team is spending another season tanking/rebuilding/playing youth so there is absolutely no reason Magic Organization would trade picks and youth for a player to make them mediocre mid level team.

What I can't figure out is why the LA Lebrons haven't traded for Simmons yet. A few second rate shooters, some second round picks and the Laker facade should easily be enough for a Simmons trade.

Why would the Sixers even consider trading with the Magic, they are title contenders requiring impact players in return. No way in hell they trade with the Magic. They don't need picks.

Depends on what the other offers are.

Ross, Chi’s pick, and JI could possibly get it done. It’s not like we don’t have fillers to include either. I would look into it. His stock couldn’t be any lower and he is still a very good (and young) player.
