I've seen people on twitter bring up the Rashard comparison and you know what that's an interesting take, although Franz has better handles and passes better, but Rashard was a bonafide shot maker (fadeaways, turn around shots with a hand on the face, post moves, not sure Franz has that capability, too early) and strong (in terms of muscle to not get pushed around) defender and better rebounder. He looks like a more athletic, quicker, better defending Hedo, and that is a multiple time allstar player.

When was the last time a Magic rookie looked so impressive early on? I honestly can't remember. His shooting has been fantastic, his decision making downright unbelievable for a rookie, he is taking on good defenders one and one and takes them to the cup with ease, his defense has been stifling...Looks like the we finally hit a home run in the draft with a non-number 1 pick, about time.

Maybe Oladipo? But Franz has been better than early Dipo.

Kaiser Franz

Franz joins (along with Duarte, and possibly Barnes) all-stars Zion, Luka, and Trae as the only rookies to score double digits in each of their first 8 games from the last 4 draft classes.

He's our first rookie since Jameer with 25+ points and 5+ 3PM.

He looked like the best 2-way player on the floor last night, when's the last time we could say that for a 20 year old rookie? Especially 8 games into his career..

LO was actually respectable from 3 at least in MIA. Right now Franz looks better but we will see how it averages out. Driving , passing and ball-handling though.. especially with the 6'10ish length and frame... reminds me of him.
