Isaac, F-Wagner, and Carter-Williams is a complete depth chart. But Ross is likely to log major minutes at the 3 as well.

Isaac was the starting SF two-years ago and will be this year as well.

He wasn't then and he won't be now.

If he's healthy, Jonathan Isaac will be the starting power forward for this team, just like he was in the past.

The starting small forward will presumably be one of Chuma Okeke, Franz Wagner or Terrence Ross unless they make a trade.

Gordon was at PF. And I am sure reference will list him as the SF.

But that is the point: Isaac and Okeke are the starters and it is irrelevant to say who is playing what slot. It really is about who they defend.

Carter-Williams and Ross are more likely.

But, will Orlando ever run a three-guard set of Fultz-Suggs-Hampton? I would think it is probably and in that I assume Hampton guards the opponent SF.

Good signing. I thought he played well for us. He’s more than just a potential mentor to his brother.

i would be very disappointed if Ross is still with us at training camp and if mcw gets real minutes.

All this information is readily available.

In 2018-2019 during Clifford's first year, Gordon played 2600 minutes over 78 games and Isaac played 2000 minutes in 75 games.

However, according to NBA.com, they were only on the court at the same time for 1037 total minutes, approximately 40% of Gordon's total minutes. Where was Gordon playing those other 1600 minutes? At power forward with Isaac on the bench.

If you recall, particularly that 18-19 season, more often than not Clifford would sub out Gordon first (typically for Ross) and then bring Gordon back in later at PF with 4 reserves.

When both guys were on the court at the same time, Gordon was the guy tasked with taking on the other team's best scoring wing defensively, not Isaac. Isaac was kept closer to the basket because he was a far superior help defender and shot blocker then Gordon and he was much more effective in lending a hand to Vucevic on the interior when needed.

Isaac primarily played PF defensively then and will play it now.

What it really boils down to is how ready Wagner is to play. If he's ready to go, then he very much has the opportunity to be the starting SF *next* to Isaac, not the backup PF behind Isaac. He has much more of a natural wing/small forward game than Okeke does IMO.

Isaac is a PF.

I think we would sooner see Franz or a 3 guard rotation (Mosley is from the Carlisle tree) before we see Isaac and two "bigs".

I think he was only resigned because we just drafted his brother. I want to see the Magic compete in practice with the brothers on opposite teams and they guard each other.

We lacked size and rebounding out of the 4 spot, before signing Moe last year. With Moe and JI we'll have 2 bigger PF's that can rebound.

Plan on being disappointed. Until Fultz returns, Orlando needs wing play. Ross should be a Magician until about the ASW.

Carter-Williams will only get minutes dependent on injuries. He's a pro's pro in subbing in to whatever slot is needed.

DO you have Wagner or Okeke as the higher upside talent? I ask as Okeke seems certain to start on opening night.

Wagner has more upside by a significant margin IMO.

His statistical profile is remarkably similar to Okeke's, only he's younger and *fingers crossed* isn't going to have a whole year wiped out by injury which in turn leads him to look slow and rusty upon his return to action.

I could see Okeke starting early on. Heck I could see Ross starting early on. I could see Mosley doing a three guard thing with Anthony-Suggs-Harris too.

There's a lot of ways this could go.

But I'm not writing Wagner off simply because he's a rookie.

For me: I am super high on Wagner. He has a lot of his game that equates to 3rd or 4th starter on a nice roster. Okeke is more like a multi-purpose player. That's a bench guy for me.

the 3 and the 4 are basically the same position in the NBA now. You all are just arguing semantics.
