I think Bacon would be better off the bench for a team like the Lakers than Monk. He can play 10-15 min when Lebron is out. Take 5-10 shots. Shoots decently enough for a back up. On a young developing team he is the odd man out. Good luck with your career.

I appreciated his availability but not his shooting %'s.

His eFG% was the 20th "best" of all Magicians last year at 44.3%. Given that a roster usually has 14 players, being in 20th place is not very good.

..

I wish there weren't three currently rostered players that finished below him... :banghead:

Gary Harris, Michael Carter-Williams, and Markelle Fultz. Add to Bacon, above, and we can cleary see the need for guard shooting improvements.

Appreciate his effort, but man I'm not going to miss him thinking he's Kobe and commentary talking up hitting stupid shots he should never have taken.

Pleased the temptation to give him minutes over youth is gone!

Dwayne Bacon is an 11th or 12th man in this league.

It's best to let him move on to another situation though.

Nothing but the best to him.

There's a spot for him on an NBA team. He can score the ball... maybe at the expense of bad shots, but he's useful.

I wish him well.

He was fun to watch if for no other reason that you knew once he touched the ball, he was going to shoot it. And I laughed every time.

A shame, I wanted him back, he's a fantastic tank commander and let's be honest, we'd probably need this next season.

I lurked in the knick board. KEmba's best 2 seasons were when he was paired with Bacon? How?

I assume this was done to keep the heat off of some of their young guys. Their forums are going to get a lot of mileage out of this.
