Just thought I'd ask you guys who in your own opinions think will be our leader in PPG this season?
Edit : I added 'other' as an option just in case

This is such a great question. I have NO IDEA. Suggs? Forgot Harris not saying he will be it but he has a better shot than a few guys on the list.

Couldn't add Harris I hit the limit for the poll

but maybe I should've added 'other' instead of Franz or WCJ

I think Tross, unless he is traded. Then it could be Cole

I think it’ll be Gary Harris. Only took 7 shot attempts per game in preseason, but he has the tools to be sort of what Afflalo was scoring wise 9 years ago.

The pre-season scoring leasers were, in order, M-Wagner/Anthony, Carter, Ross, and Hampton. In three occasions, it was the bench that had the leading scoring.
So: Ross looks good here.
Has there ever been a Magician that led in ppg off of the bench?
..

What's the over/under for the scoring champion? Maybe 15 ppg ???

This is a great question that I really don't have a great answer for.
The Magic could have 8 guys average double digit points and it wouldn't surprise me in the slightest.

If Okeke eventually starts, it will be him.
Then Ross.

figure Isaac, Fultz and Okeke will be minutes limited which will limit their opportunities and reduce PPG.
RJ seems to score in bunches and if he gets on a roll, he could do some damage.

I just wonder exactly how much Cole is going to play once Fultz is back.
He seems like 4th in the pecking order of importance among the young guards behind Suggs, Fultz and Hampton.

If I knew he was going to play 30 minutes a night, I'd definitely pick Cole. You can't stop that guy from shooting.
I think RJ is a dark horse here. He knows when to pick his spots and take advantage of his athleticism. He will crawl up your ass in transition if you don't hustle and he will pressure the rim when there is space. He gets a lot of dunks for a guy his size. He just knows how to find some points throughout the game and if the ball skills start to catch up, he can average 20 ppg in this league. Nick Anderson did it. Hampton reminds me a bit of Maggette, who also came into the league without ball skills.
I think Ross is the obvious choice here. I'm not convinced we will move him. If the front office wanted him gone, he'd be gone. I don't think anyone is going to give real value for him. Maybe you can get a trade exception in return? He is a good guy for the locker room, so unless he is blocking someone, I think they will keep him.
WCJ could easily average 15 a night if he can stay healthy. He was doing it for us until he got banged up at the end of last year. I've never seen anyone get poked in the eye so much on a basketball court. It's because he keeps the ball up high as he has been taught to do.
Bamba could lead us in per 36 minute scoring, but I don't see how he gets more than 20-25 mins a night.
Those are the only candidates I see.

It going to end up being Fultz or Isaac in PPG. Maybe not total points, but in terms of PPG, I'm fairly certain of it. My dark horse woud be Okeke, but I'm not very confident in that. Love the aggressive side of him, but he gets too passive sometimes and it's sickening.
Cole will try his darndest to chuck up as many as he can, but he won't hit enough to be our leading scorer. When Cole and RJ are on the floor at the same time, I feel like we play low level IQ basketball. RJ's handle is so so so terribly loose. His head is all wrong. I'm fine with them off the bench, but will be happy with them gone.

I could see Fultz. He's going to have the ball in his hands a lot when he returns.
I really can not see Isaac at all. I just don't think he's skilled or assertive enough offensively to ever be any team's leading scorer.
