Your lineup When everyone is healthy
Purely hypothetical, but lets just say at the first game after the all-star break, everyone is back healthy and 100%, what do you think our Starting lineup looks like? Does the Franzchise force the FO to trade isaac or Okeke? Or maybe one of the centers gets traded? Is Cole starting when Suggs gets more situated in the NBA or when Fultz is back? Does suggs get benched for Cole and Fultz? Are Harris and Ross Still here? Are we out of contention and so Mos\FO decide to see what they have in younger guys\contract year guys?
So, who do YOU THINK will be in our starting lineup that first game after the break (in that scenario where everyone is healthy and 100% ready to go)
Im going to go with
C - Bamba -to me, hes clearly our best center and we need to see 100% what we have in him before making the decision next off season
PF - Isaac - According to most here, hes our best player when healthy. People here know i dont feel that way, but im sure the FO is super high on him if they signed him while injured. Hopefully hes still our defensive anchor when hes back
SF - Franzchise - SO FAR this year, hes shown that hes atleast in the running for ROY and to this point (yest i know, ridiculously early, 1/10th of the season) potentially our best player. He cant come out now
SG - Cole - I know people want Suggs here, and i do too, but i think coles earned his role as our starter and would compliment Fultz better right now than Suggs would.
PG - Fultz - As a pure PG, hes the best one we have, and is still young enough that he can be a core member of this team long term. You saw it last year how much better the offense flowed when he was in the game, and i think with some real shooters around him now, should make his ability to get to the basket even more dangerous
I also think that atleast one of harris or ross gets traded, maybe both and our second unit will be lead by suggs, RJ and Okeke

Re: Your lineup When everyone is healthy
Suggs being the man off the bench, sort of a Marcus Smart role for Boston the past few years, wouldnt hurt. He could continue to work on his handle and not have too much pressure

Re: Your lineup When everyone is healthy
Well IMO after the allstar break Mo TRoss and Harris is traded.
Thus SL for me is WCJ, JI , franz , Suggs, Fultz.
I think Cole will come back down to earth soon with his averages and we convince him to takr the Tross scoring role. Okeke can back up both F spots and RJ backs up the wing.

What in the world are we trading Bamba for?

I think the team is going to look different come all star break so who knows. So far Cole/Suggs/chuma(?)/Wagner/ WCJ.

who knows. I just feel that this FO thinks next years draft class are most F/C at the top and we have JI Franz Okeke inthe wings/big spots already. Thus making them feel safe not to pay what Bamba's contract might demand.

Re: Your lineup When everyone is healthy
Fultz, Suggs, Franz, JI, Bamba
WCJr can come in for JI or Bamba
Cole, Fultz, and Suggs can alternate.
Ultimately I think Suggs is the starting pg down the road.

Re: Your lineup When everyone is healthy
Fultz, Anthony, Wagner, Isaac, Carter Jr.
Bench until trades: Suggs, Harris, Ross, Okeke, Bamba.
Nasty starting 5 and decent bench.

Re: Your lineup When everyone is healthy
I would bring Fultz off the bench and build up his minutes, same with Isaac.
Give Suggs and Franz occasional days off for load management.
Let Isaac and Fultz start those days.

Re: Your lineup When everyone is healthy
Anthony/Fultz
Suggs/Hampton
F-Wagner/Ross
Isaac/Okeke
Bamba/Carter
With a bench of Carter-Williams, Harris, Lopez.
The starting five just works, so health is about bench depth for me.

Re: Your lineup When everyone is healthy
Cole, Suggs, Franz, WCJ, and Bamba as starters. Why fix what's not broken.
Fultz, MCW, Ross, Okeke, and Isaac off the bench. Not much outside shooting from the guards, but good size and defense. If they don't stagger one if the centers into this lineup, Okeke was showed he could slow down centers.

Re: Your lineup When everyone is healthy
This one is hard because how do you take cole & franz out of the starting lineup if they continue to produce like they are. If they continue to shoot above 37-38% from 3 it will be hard to yank them.
I just don't know how they are gonna work it out. I assume they will bring back fultz & issac slow, so brining them off the bench at first but eventually they have to plug into the starting lineup I woukd assume.
Then you have the whole bamba/carter jr front court where does issac go? Sf or pf
I honestly just don't know how it's gonna play out when we are fully healthy...

-Fultz-Anthony-Suggs G
-Wagner-Isaac-Okeke F
-Bamba-Wcj C
and trying to find minutes whenever is possible for RJ hampton,i'd trade both ross and harris.
next year anyway will have to add a pair of real solid veterans and make some decisions,we can not go another year with all this young guys + another top 5 pick.

Re: Your lineup When everyone is healthy
Not sure Fultz and Cole mesh well, both are at their best with the ball in their hands. Wouldn't care which starts.
Positives to either starting, I also think Suggs can play next to either and should be the starter at the 2 no matter.
But, since Fultz will be coming back from injury, I doubt he is going straight into the starting line up, so we'll get to see a bunch of different groupings.
As Okeke gets back into game shape, it will be interesting to see what happens there. Seems to me, it makes the most sense to stagger Mo and WCJ a bit, but they are doing well togheter. Will be interesting on who plays at the end of games between those 3, let alone when J.I. comes back.
WCJ is shooting 38% from 3, Mo is at 40%. Okeke Shot 35% as a Rookie and J.I. shot 34% his last year.
WCJ is the probably our best rebounder,
Mo can alter shots the best
J.I. is the best overall defender
Okeke probably has the highest BB IQ

Cole, Ross, Franz JI, Mo
Fultz, MCW, Chuma, Wendell
Would be the serious rotation for me.

Do you even watch the games? Ross might be the worst player this season. I think he's better suited to play with a veteran team.Statlanta wrote:Cole, Ross, Franz JI, Mo

It’s early he’s still the most respected threat on a team with poor offense. I trust him to bounce back more than I trust Cole to maintain

Re: Your lineup When everyone is healthy
I think Ross has been working himself out of the rotation. He just doesn't mesh well with inexperienced players. Plus he's trying to do too much by handling the ball more.Statlanta wrote:basketballRob wrote:Do you even watch the games? Ross might be the worst player this season. Youth, of course. Gotta get younger.
