What a deflating 3 quarters after a hot start
I still believe in Magic! Welcome to the Franz & Paolo era

Tough loss. Not happy with Refs either. Some good signs but a tough loss.

This is fair.

Send an immediate double to Aldridge in the post and force Bembry or Johnson to make a jumper.

A lot of suspect foul calls and an obvious missed goaltending call. I think it’s pretty fair to blame this one on the refs

Whatever at least the young guys played well. Mills of course catches fire and Aldridge unretired just to haunt us more lol

I didn't think cole had a bad game, i just think he needs to get better with picking his spots....even with someone like Lillard, even when he has it going he doesn't spend the entire clock setting up his shot....he runs the offense and eventually the ball will get back to him....This was a tough game considering it felt like we were playing five vs eight, i mean we had a couple clear flagrant situations where our players got hit on the head/face and they didn't even look at it...but they want to spend 5 minutes trying to figure out if the nets were in the bonus earlier or not....frustrating to lose like this, i think Harden shot more FTs than our entire team lol

PrimeThyme wrote:Ross, easily. It's our starting lineup that has lead the entire league in plus minus thus far this season. Wagner doesn't have the rebounding to play the 4 against a JJJ/Aldridge front court.

Ross's offenses is fine and all, but when we are getting obliterated at the other end it cancels out.

Yeah I mean it's tough because the Magic were down and didn't have the timeouts to really go offense/defense and Carter had given them absolutely nothing offensively all night.

I can understand wanting to keep one of your only shotmakers on the floor in that scenario.

Can't win 5 on 8, refs where an absolute joke! Nothing will get said by the players or coach's and nothing will get done by the league why even play or watch when you already know the outcome.

Good game yall. You've got some good young pieces and I like your coach. I hope the front office will stay the course

Serious question, what's the plan with Suggs and Anthony? Anthony seems to be the alpha dog on your team but Suggs was the higher pick.

They play well according to statistics together so no rush. Ideally we're hoping for Suggs to develop his handle more so he can be lead guard and Anthony can shoot away off of the bench. It all depends what happens with Fultz tbh.

Frustrating loss cause of the refs but big picture the youngers played well. Its good to see Chuma get it going. Suggs played well early then fell off the cliff. He shouldn't have been on the court in crunch time if the focus was winning. But I def understand hes gotta learn so he should be in. Overall I aint mad

I think in our first win against the Knicks, the refs were terrible too. I think refs are afraid of NY fans.

On the plus side, I like how often you can hear Mosley on the telecast - "high hands", "show your hands" etc.

Suggs also probably had his best game. That first quarter was fire and he's 41.9% from 3 over his last 3 games. It's turning.

Similar deal with Cole - 35 assists in his last 4 games. 56 assists in the 12 games before that.

Finally, as always, another step forward for Okeke. He's now playing helpful ball. Very good to see.

I was hopeful for Suggs to finally end at 50% from the field but we froze him out and he took some bad shots. Oh well, still a good game overall. I'm also not sure why Okeke only played 20 minutes tonight.

Right now? Exactly what they're doing. Statistically the pairing has been fine. We'll see how things progress when Fultz returns.

Suggs hasn't shown enough ball handling chops to be a full time PG, so using him a secondary playmaker and defender makes sense for the time being.

Grand scheme - another L for the tank, but a close game for the development of the kids. Can’t be too unhappy.

I would also add that Franz continues to impress and Mo played well again.
