Lowry missed 2 weeks with a fractured left thumb a few years ago, Rondo 6-8 weeks.

Could be way worse, I think.

I’d expect 4-8 weeks but who knows with the way this team handles injuries.

No incentive to rush him back outside of gaining experience.

Really sucks. He was starting to get better in each passing game. I'm just gonna assume that we don't see him until after the All-Star break.

Not much to be happy about with this news, but if you're looking for any sort of silver lining...

Cole Anthony played way better last year as a rookie after getting hurt and missing an extended period of time.

Hopefully the same thing happens with Suggs where the time off can recharge his batteries and help him clear his head.

The positive is that being in the rehab group will allow Suggs to bond with the majority of the team.

WeHam injury conversion means till October 2022.

Fractures are lil more easier to gauge the healing process for return than ligament/soft tissue damage. So.... that's great. plus growns heal stronger than the original... once healed.

looks like fultz/anthony combo coming to a screen near you!

p.s. i don't mind it as much.... cuz i think that he needs step back.... to make huge step forward. Hope he comes back better than evr!

At least not an ACL. He should be back between 1-2 months. You have to remember this is a long ass season. If he's able to play 50-60+ games he should have enough real-time experience.

The only problem is that when he returns Fultz/Issac will most likely be back it will be an awkward mesh of guys all coming back at once.

Interested to see how they handle this with all of there pg out. I guess rj starting with franz handling a ton more of the point forward duties???...

Didn't Isiah Thomas say during the preseason that he just had them take the knuckle out of his thumb? That's a common injury for a PG and the same injury Suggs had in the summer league.

Might be less awkward tbh. Fultz/Cole/Suggs will need to be figured out and I think they'll have a rotation down by the end of the year. Suggs will obviously be the future but for now we'll see how Fultz looks when he comes back.
