From what i could find and figure, TPE can't be used as "asset " in trades. You can only trade for player who's salary fits that range, and there are limitations within it.

I'm not 100% sure tho, but i remember reading during summer that most TPEs end up unused because it's very hard to fit criteria.

It can't be paired with anything from the Magic's end. So no picks and no players.

But it can bring anything back. Any player making from the minimum up to whatever the + whatever picks attached.

Big TPE's usually get unused because most teams aren't in a position to take on 17M in salary in one shot because of the luxury tax.

It could be used in 2 separate trades though. For example, GS would trade us wiseman and kuminga for bamba. That would be like 15 million coming in with around 8 going out. Now if we made 2 separate trades it would work. Bamba for wiseman straight up works with kuminga easily fitting in the Fournier TPE.

Any interest in RJ Barrett? I think he would be a good fit on our roster.

Has NY already given up.on him? They tanked really hard on that draft and missing out Ja and Zion and had to settle for RJ.

I thought he is THE future for NY?

This is like resigning Fournier. It is a lateral move, and I think the team needs to go in to a new direction.

Another super overhyped lottery pick who's ceiling is third option on solid team? In other news, water is wet.

He isn't bad but are you willing to pay 100 M for him ?

I honestly thought Franz outplayed him in the games against NY.

I would trade any player on the team other than Franz and Suggs for Kuminga. GSW is absolutely win-now so maybe, if he shows he's ready, it would be Isaac. More likely WCJ helps them out...My preference would be to wait until the Trade Deadline so Kuminga soaks up as much GSW defense and ball movement culture as possible...Kuminga is going to be a beast. soon. If Portland blows it up, would you trade Bamba and Okeke/Hampton for Nurkic? I like his fit and he's not a high cost add...

Doesn’t price and role, which I didn’t mentioned, be required to call it a lateral move? I’m talking about capitalizing on the Knicks poor start and snagging another 21 year old to develop on the cheap if possible.

I don’t think they trade Kuminga unless they’re getting top-notch talent back.

I absolutely think management should be looking to the underperforming teams as a trade partner: New York, Boston, Toronto, and Indiana might all have fire sales soon. Portland and Denver could be in that list as well. (but Denver is not gonna make another Orlando trade).

Would you trade several of our young pieces for Damian Lillard?

Absolutely not.

There's no benefit to that.

Why? What does Nurkic do that WCJ isn't doing? I see Nurk as a sometimes injured, bruising big man down low. Not really a rim-protector. Someone who is like WCJ but with no 3pt shot.

For me, Franz did. Also I dunno what happened with RJ but his development isn't doing so well.

Thus, no need for RJ.

Could Cole be in the discussion of MIP this year?

I am expecting Cole, Suggs and Franz to be in the Rookie game.

But could Cole become an All Star one day? I do think so too!

Nurkic gets some points but he's really not much of a defender, given his tough reputation...No interest from me. I prefer WCJ or Bamba above Nurkic (who is also up for a payday-maybe he'll get but shouldn't from us)

Portland doesn't have many players who fit the Magic's timeline.

Lillard, McCollum, Nance, Powell and Covington are all fine players, but all of them are probably a little too old for this rebuilding situation.

I could see the Magic having interest in Simons and Little, but those would seemingly be the two guys Portland would want to keep if they opted to blow it up.

wrll unless we replace Suggs with RJ? lol Wheres the fit? RJ supposedly has the rep to be a scorer in the G/F position yet he fails in that this season.

Besides.. moot point. I think NYK would ask for a kings ransom for RJ.
