Who's The Worst Rotation Player?
Being a 5-19 is definitely not fun. It also means we're sure to have at least a couple of rotational players who are having sub-par seasons. I'm not trying to trash anybody, but I just wanted to get a consensus on who they think has been the worst player in the rotation.
I think most players who have been "bad" have had some good excuses for not having the season we'd hope they had.
I'm only going to include the players that have played a decent amount of minutes for a decent amount of games. So no Ignas, Robin or Mychal.
For me it was Harris at the start of the season. But I think he's actually starting to get better as the season goes.
I think I'd have to go:
Ross
Okeke
Hampton
Wagner
Harris
Ross just doesn't seem happy or interested in this team anymore. He feels like a negative every time he steps on the floor unless he gets insanely hot. I'm pretty confident we'll do right by him and send him to a contender very soon.
Okeke has had a very rough start to the season. But he also started his season later than most of the players and I believe he'll get back to being a decent role player at some point. But he hasn't been very good just yet. So I'm gonna have to put him as the second worst so far. Might even be the worst if I'm being honest. The silver lining to him delaying his comeback to the team was that it allowed Franz to start and show that he belongs in the starting 5.
Hampton continues improving, imo, but his passing/playmaking definitely needs work. As well as his finishing. But his shooting has been much improved and I actually think he's a decent to good defender.
Wagner has been a pretty consistent role player all season so far. He's a decent shooter and has been getting under the skin of every opponent this season. Nothing special, but servicable. Especially for a player that will be a 3rd stringer when the team is fully healthy.
Again, Harris was probably the worst player in all of the NBA until recently when he started picking it up. But now, I'd say he's been one of our better role players. Pretty good defender and decent finisher. His shot seems to be returning a little bit as well. Probably to small a sample size to say he's the best of the worst, but I personally have liked him the past 5 or 6 games.
What are your lists?

Re: Who's The Worst Rotation Player?
It's Ross by a lot. Pretty much terrible on both ends.
Harris struggled significantly early in the season, but he seems to have found his sea legs over the last 10 days or so.
Averaging 11-3-3-2 and shooting .440/.323/.750 over the last six games. Not spectacular, but not awful either.
Hampton is generally a mess, but at least he's hitting 40% of his threes and can give you something defensively sometimes.

Yeah, I personally don't blame anybody for choosing any of those names as the worst player in the rotation. But Ross has been awful outside of about 3 games all season. He looks like he's sad being here on a team so clearly rebuilding and developing players. He knows he's not in the plans past this season. I'm honestly shocked Ross is leading in the poll so far to be honest. I felt like it was just me nit picking his game in comparison to what he used to produce for us.
I know some will hate on Harris for his seriously atrocious start. But he's actually been trending in the right direction. I really think he's at worst a solid defender as well. I used to want him out of the rotation completely. Now I can't wait to see him off the bench with a fully healthy roster. I don't see him being here after the deadline though.

Re: Who's The Worst Rotation Player?
Considering the money he's earning and his experience in the league my choice is Gsry Harris. The lack of compromise he has shown is annoying.
He got a little bit better last 4 or 5 games but I don't care. I can't wait to see him out of Orlando for ever.

Re: Who's The Worst Rotation Player?
Ross because all it takes is him shooting bad to not be very useful.
Harris, if he regained any semblance of who he used to be is a serviceable player but he's been more bad than good this season.
RJ hovers between unplayable and impressive so you gotta take the good with the bad.
Wagner is whatever, just okay, sorta bad at times but has his uses. Okeke still has use out there even when he's not playing well.

Re: Who's The Worst Rotation Player?
If you put Ross with a few other 3 pt shooters and he's a different player.
I went with Wagner because playing him at the 5 is waiving the white flag.
Harris seems like he's trying to hold everything together to get one more contract. If he got one I think he'd immediately go on the injured list for whatever problems he's having.
I liked RJ last season but for some reason, he looks smaller and not physical enough this season.

Re: Who's The Worst Rotation Player?
I would have said Etwan Moore but he has barely played. It's been Harris and then followed by Ross. Harris has been a statue most of the season, Ross can clearly do way more but he has mentally checked out because the team sucks.

Re: Who's The Worst Rotation Player?
For me Harris gets the nod over Ross. In addition to all the above, Harris is a starter and is supposed to perform. Ross as a bench player is in a secondary role by design.

I have been very, very disappointed with Okeke this year. But his ineffectiveness is costing court time, so it is not visible in-game as much as Harris and Ross, to me.

Re: Who's The Worst Rotation Player?
I'm going to go with Okeke because for me he's been the biggest disappointment. I expected way more. In fact, I expected him to be the young player who made the biggest jump this season.
Ross and Harris are the only veterans on a team full of young scrubs that is actively tanking so what do we honestly expect from them?

I think Okeke will end up having better stats this season than last.

Re: Who's The Worst Rotation Player?
I agree with those that put Okeke as the worst currently. However, the reason I have Ross over him is that Okeke started the year out injured and that might've affected him.
He really does need to start putting together some much better performances soon though. He's been mediocre as a defender, passer, shooter, and scorer so far. Worse than mediocre in most of those actually. He used to be solid in each of those categories last season. Not even close this season.

He only needs to up his eFG%:
Okeke vs. Okeke
EDIT:
Looking at his per-36 numbers, he is shooting more per minute, but is simply less efficient in taking those extra shots.

Re: Who's The Worst Rotation Player?
If we are talking about actual performance only, It's clearly Ross. His on/off is atrocious, practically every lineup he plays in is terrible defensively, even when all of his teammates are good defenders. He has the worst defensive rating of all rotation players in the league apart from a 5'10' guy (Campazzo). And offensively he doesn't add anything in most games either with his non-stop chucking and the careless turnovers when he tries to pass. In previous years he made up for his black hole tendency with very good shotmaking on all the tough shots he took. This year this is not the case. He is shooting below 40% from the field and below 30% from 3.
