What would people think if we took Ivey at #1?

His defense is something you can rely on. If you're hoping for him to be a leading scorer for this team then you have unrealistic expectations. More hope. Maybe it happens, but probably not. If all he is, is something similar to Klay. An off ball shooter, then that is still worthy of the pick because we need someone who can frustrate perimeter shooters to balance the interior defense we have with Isaac, Carter and Bamba.

The missing piece you speak of like Ivey and Mathurin are not BPA so we won't take them. But simply by mere position, there are not many leading men in today's NBA who play PF.

Suggs is not a leading scorer either so the hunt must go on.

Franz has the potential to be a legit leading scorer on a title team. He would be the unanimous #1 knowing what he did last season. His ceiling is absurdly high and he is really an after thought for too many people. What is Franz weakness? Mid range? the least efficient shot in the NBA.

On a true championship caliber team, I still see him as a number 2 or 3. He's not on the level of Giannis, Curry, Durant, Lebron, etc.

Not yet but neither was Kawhi, Giannis, Jokic, Embiid, etc as rookies.

I smell a trade down with Houston. Maybe they know OKC is gonna draft Holmgren. But it could be Jaden Ivey at 3. I always found interesting that he did a workout with them. That would be the same story as Penny in 1993 by the way.

Ivey would be the one guy that I'd be disappointed to draft.

Jabari doesn't set my world on fire as a star, but i can get on board with the insane shooting uptick.

Paolo's fit and defence are questions, but i can dig the bag he brings

Chet is my number 1, tho i recognize the potential flaws he brings.
