Re: Starting Guards Opening Night
If we don't make any big moves in FA, I'd prefer to bring back Harris on a 1yr, 10 - 15 million dollar deal to retain that cap space. He really rounded back into form over the course of the season, especially offensively. His defense won't ever be the same as it was in 2018 after the injuries I think, but he's a good veteran presence to have.
I also like the idea of giving an offer to Lavine if we can move T Ross and a 2nd for a late 1st or for a small expiring and a 2nd to clear up enough space to sign him as our long-term 2 and go-to scorer, but I think that's much more doubtful.

Suggs instead of Fultz and Paolo instead of Jabari is my concept.
My money is on Banchero going number 1 !

You need a true pg of you play those 4 forwards, and fuitz is far better than suggs

Suggs was MUCH better defensively even as a rookie, and nobody knows who will be better shooter in the future but i favor Suggs. They need to fought it out between themselves, i dont believe they are good fit next to each other.

What stands out?
How **** difficult these things are to read. They could come up with a simple metric to quantify their data... or they could just plop a thousand faces onto a pinhead.
"Xatticus has always been, in my humble opinion best poster here. Should write articles or something."

Re: Starting Guards Opening Night
My dream: draft Smith, and trade Isaac, Ross, and Bamba (SnT) for a very good SG.
Fultz/Anthony/Cannady
VG-PG/Suggs/Hampton
F-Wagner/vet-5M-type/vet-LLE
Smith/Okeke/Bol
Carter/M-Wagner/one-of-the-SRPs
other SRP to Lakeland (2W)
Something like this is a good, balanced roster.

Re: Starting Guards Opening Night
My answer is Fultz and Suggs, but I don't love it.
I really like Suggs' upside and have no regrets about drafting him...but, if FO believes in Fultz...what could Suggs bring back in a trade? I would think something really substantial, like a very high pick or quality player that might be a better fit. I think his floor is something like Marcus Smart (leader, defensive beast-maybe not DPOY level but...) and I think there's a good chance his offense develops.
I just have a hard time putting together lineups where Suggs is at SG or coming off the bench. I don't want to debate whether Fultz is the right choice (for now) but, assuming he IS the choice...what pick could we get for Suggs? I would say it could be as high as #4 in this year's draft as SAC has a scoring PG in Fox that would be a better complement to Suggs than Fultz.

Re: Starting Guards Opening Night
Saw a topic about Fultz on the GB and was wondering what you guys thought about him as a fanbase. I was seriously impressed by him when my Hornets last played you guys. I believe the graph in this thread about him generating high quality shots for his teammates. You guys will have some impressive talent with him, Wagner, Suggs, and Jabari/Chet. They also fit will together, which I think is something most people foolishly overlook.
The East is as good as it's been in many years and you guys will have the talent to compete. You just need the right leadership to bring it all together.

I can see Fultz at the top-middle so he ranks highly for High Value Assists, but with middling gravity. I can’t see Suggs in it though.
