BOL BOL or BAMBA WHO DO WE KEEP?
Forgive me if this is an ignorant question...I realize there are threads on both.
In a nutshell, appears to me we are going to keep just ONE of the two, correct? Does anyone see a scenario if we keep both?
Thoughts on what happens here?
Thanks

Re: BOL BOL or BAMBA WHO DO WE KEEP?
My thoughts are:
1. Perhaps keep both in the event Isaac reinjures himself
2. Both are hybrid versions of Holmgren..strengthens case to draft Smith
3. If we keep Bol, package Bamba +Cole for a bench SG
4. Anyone know the height/weight comparisons between the two?

I prefer we don't keep them both.

Re: BOL BOL or BAMBA WHO DO WE KEEP?
well, both have motor questions (and Bol even motivation questions, believe he doesnt really love basketball) and both have injury concerns, though Bamba not quite as much. Bamba has the better frame. if i had to choose between both, i would choose Bamba.

Re: BOL BOL or BAMBA WHO DO WE KEEP?
It all depends on cost. Bamba is the better player by far but do we want to invest, let's say $10 million a year, in a guy who is our 4th big man when everyone is healthy? That seems insane to me. So logically it would be Bol if it ends up being either of them at all.

I would rather have Bol being DNP-CD player on $2M than Bamba on $10M

"Neither" is more probable than "both".

With all the talk about how often the Magic trade their 2nd rounders, I’d rather both of these roster spots be taken by draftees and give ourselves even more cap flexibility to pursue a star if this team gels.

Bamba for morale
Bol for talent
Neither for Chet/Paolo
Both if Rolo retires.

Id rather we use our 2 srps and use one of them for a big and develop him rather than go with either bol or mo for backup duties.

Re: BOL BOL or BAMBA WHO DO WE KEEP?
I'd like to give Bol Bol a chance and he wouldnt cost much.
I'm kinda done with Mo, but the one thing he does got going for him. He's an actual center. And Bol Bol is more PF. Thats one thing if we do resign Bamba, I dont want him to be playing PF and starting.

Re: BOL BOL or BAMBA WHO DO WE KEEP?
Bol bol was drafted by Miami and then traded yo Denver where he spent 3 seasons some of that time in the g league. He then was traded to Boston and then to Orlando. 4 franchises in 3 seasons have had a look at him. In those 3 seasons he's played 53 games at 6.2 mpg. That doesn't even add up to 7 full nba games.
With that said we keep both. Bol bol will be playing for Lakeland where we can get a good look at him and have a guy available to help us tank and develop if need be next season. And bamba stays on the Magic regardless of who we draft because we're still not in a position to sign or trade for anyone better because we're still the second worst team in the league until we prove otherwise

he was never traded to Boston. Miami traded his draft rights to Denver immediately, so only 2 franchises have looked at him closely.

He went to boston last offseason/season if i remember correctly. and then we acquired by us. both teams he has not played for. lol... therefore no stats.

Re: BOL BOL or BAMBA WHO DO WE KEEP?
We've got 9 guys under contract for next year including Isaac. Suspect they will pick up the option on MoW too. so that's 5 spots. We've got our first rounder, maybe we consolidate the 2nds, but i have hard time believing they make both and wouldn't be surprised if those are changed into cash? So let's say 3 spots left. I mean i think if the price is right keep both, and Bol would be 15th guy and would be an experiment to see if we could make him work on the perimeter...not a center at all.
It sounds like there might be more of a market for Bamba than I would have expected. So he's probably going to go, especially if we were to draft Chet.
Ross needs to go, I'd give him away for a heavily protected 2nd at this point, knowing how little value that is to this team (but valuable to ownership). So there is another spot.
Try and bring in one servicable/tradeable wing FA that can actually play the 3, and then if they open up a spot by moving Ross, just another home run swing like Bol
Additions:
1. 1st pick
2. Trade 2nds for a pick in mid 20s
3. Bol Bol - he's a lot of fun to watch, perfect for a non-rotational guy...and who knows.
4. Bamba if he's cheap (doubt it) otherwise some other feisty back up big. Isaiah Hartenstein if we want to spend a little, maybe Thomas Bryant on a prove it, but that is a big injury risk.
5. Home run swing, floundering prospect or unsigned rookie FA...end of bench.
6. Ross has to go, i don't want his bad attitude (on the court) around these young guys. I would use this spot to try to sign a real wing that can play multiple positions. TJ Warren (not sure how much $ given injuries). One of the Martin twins would be super interesting (Caleb/Cody).
I'd love to take a shot on Killian Hayes. He fits right in with his size, defense and poor shooting. if the Pistons have soured. This years 2nds and next years 2nd? probably not, but maybe something could be worked out.

Get rid of both unless Bamba accepts $8m per or less.
