1. Jabari Smith - 6'10, defensive, and the bag of tricks to get off a sweet jumper is surreal. #1 option potential.
2. Paolo Banchero - 6'10 passing and scoring SF at 250 lbs. That's the same measurements as LeBron James.
3. Chet Holmgren - Defensive 7 footer who can do so much, even being an elbow option to run through.
4. Jaden Ivey - Twitch speed guard with High FT Rate. Dream a little about Ja Morant and Dwyane Wade with me.
5. Keegan Murray - Three level 6'8 SF whose rate of improvement on offense has been impressive.
6. Johnny Davis - Tracy McGrady picks him as a top two player to come out of the draft. Enough said.

What to do with the #1:
1. Smith
2. Trade down
3. Holmgren
4-etc. Depression
..
My big board in the context of players I hope are acquired (i.e. NOT my draft board per se):
In order
Smith
Mathurin
Holmgren
Daniels
Davis
Sharpe
Jović
Kessler
Agbaji
Liddell
McGowens
Moore
(yes: Ivey, Murray and Banchero are not on my list)

Re: Your final 2022 NBA draft big board
My initial uneducated position was:
1) Jabari
2) Absolutely anyone but Chet, hes a beanstalk who wont make it in the NBA, hes not strong enough.
My educated position after 1 month of deep research:
1) Chet
2) Jabari
For starters, Anyone who speaks first about Chet by discussing his defense doesn't truly understand who he is, which is 90+% of people. He is very misunderstood, with myself being the worst offender of all at first and i own that.
The way i see it now, Chet is best seen as a dynamic wing who just happens to be 7ft1 tall. For Magic fans, think of him as a 7ft1 Hedo with more passing ability and more speed.
Hes miscast as a center, he just isnt that kind of player. If he is ever to become a top 10 player in the NBA, it will be as a Kevin Durant prototype player, not a Kristaps Porzingis type player. His unicorn value is in him being a creator off the dribble, not a defensive presence. He will grab it above the arc, stare down the defender, who wont know if hes going to shoot the three or take him off the dribble. Either options are devestating. Could you say that about Jabari Smith? Probably not.
I like what Jabari is, hes a nice player, just the same as Isaac and Gordon and Oladipo and on and on. A really nice second or third piece. But the guy we really need right now is Chet Holmgren. Even if it is just the dream of what Chet COULD be, we NEED to take this chance. We MUST take this chance. We know what drafting the other guy is like, we have lived this reality for over a decade. Time to grab the bull but the horns and go all in on this.

Re: Your final 2022 NBA draft big board
i like my players to have a few skills. I dont know where they will be drafted, but the players i think turn out well are:
Paolo - defensive ability can be taught up enough to be passable if motivation is there and by all reports its there
Keegan - true 3 level scorer. good 2 way player
Agbaji - improved every year at Kansas. knock down 3 pt shooter on high volume, good defender with 6'10+ wingspan
Wendell Moore - mocked in 2nd round, i believe will outplay his draft position
Chet - has multiple skills, just dont know how they will come out. i do not see him as a #1 or #2 option on a team
Mark Williams - i see a better Robert Williams here. 7'1 with reported 7'7 wingspan. he has no outside game right now, but decent FT and will be a terror around the basket on rebounds and on defense

What dont you like about Chet?
I just can't get past that body and I'm hoping Isaac will be healthy. I'm not of the belief that skinny guys get injured, I just think it will affect his capability to dominate on either end. I love the kid's attitude and skillset, but this is a really great opportunity we need to not blow as a franchise. Paolo's (questions about) 3pt shooting and defense give Jabari the nod for me...I'd be excited for any of them, but I just think Chet has the highest "how did we not see this" bust potential and Paolo has potential limitations if those questions are correct. I just think Jabari's floor is miles ahead and his ceiling is sufficiently high. I love his fit with Franz and Fultz/Suggs as a legit high-volume long range bomber (at the very least).

The skill of Paolo that doesn’t get enough coverage is his passing. Tall guys that can pass are generally pretty good NBA players. Sort of what Barnes, Giddey, and Cade had going for them going into last years draft.
The best idea of Chet in my mind also involves him evolving into a hub on offense like a Jokic lite or Vuc.
Jabari seems like a capable passer just not a plus skill.
