That might be a good trade here. A team that has a larger than Ross' contract could trade for him the 32 + 35 for a mid-20s. THis is how a team that could use Ross could see him as a cap-savings.

Duncan Robinson from Miami as an example. Miami saves millions this year, gets out of Robinson's contract. And gets two probable role players for a player that should help their bench. Orlando gets Robinson as its new starting SG. And at 27, Walker Kessler, John Butler, or Jaylin Williams could be brought in to solidify the depth chart with Bamba's probable exit.


Whether exactly this, it is the kind of move I can imagine.

DEN trades SG Will Barton (1-yr $14.5M) and pick #30
ORL trade SG Terrance Ross (1-yr 11.5M), PG RJ Hampton ($2.5M) and pick #35

ORl gets the better player and a good locker room guy on a 1-yr, move up to the 30th pick for a player who doesn't want to be in the rebuild. DEN gets a better defender, a backup G, and still gets a high 2nd to get a backup C with.

He's actually on the block for a 1st round pick with teams hoping he becomes available for mulitple 2nds instead.

I hope the Magic can get one of the picks in the early-to-mid 20's for him. He could be a servicable bench player for many contenders around the league.

They bring financial and contractual flexibility. This late into draft, I don't think there is any significant difference in chances that player selected #25 will make it to the league comparing to #32.

As far as to how we draft, common knowledge for these picks is that we don't draft. We will trade all them picks for cash considerations.
