Take out the factor of who you think is BPA. Who do you think fits our team the best and why?

Jabari. Pretty seamless fit next to WCJ/Franz and addresses a 10 plus year need we’ve had of shooting in the frontcourt.

But why would a team in our position ignore BPA for fit? We’ve got to take the best player on the board.

It all doesnt matter if we dont have star ball handler. There is only one potential ball handler in top 3 and his name is Paolo Banchero.

Jabari's ready to step in and shoot the crap out of the ball and play great defense for 30 mpg.

No more learning to shoot or trying to gain weight for 3 years.

I think Banchero or Ivey is the best option for Orlando, just looking at the roster and seeing how the game is played, you need superstars who can make things happen in chaotic situations and against tough defenses. those guys are the hardest to find.

Chet and Jabari are great players but they don't project as an alpha scorer/playmaker which is pretty important in the playoffs. they are more of the I can make plays when my stars are struggling and contribute in other areas.

Paolo and Ivey both have potential to be that dynamic lead player on a championship team.

All of them fit, imo. Jabari is the only one that really fits and fills a need. I’m not sure the alpha first option ball handler & scorer we need is even in this draft, which is why we are all debating over 3-4 guys and I would be happy with any of them.

If there we equal players available at each position, I'd take the 2 guard, our biggest hole.

Is there a BPA? Seems like splitting hairs. Fit is a natural consideration.

Our offense is so bad that the answer is Paolo Banchero.

I’ve gone from moving him up and down from 2-5 a lot, but he’s settled down as my number two when I think of him at 250 lbs and 6’10 doing what he can do. I’m normally not a big fan of putting any weight in changing my big board after the college season, but when I didn’t really watch enough games, then here we are.

Jabari Smith number one, as he’ll be somewhat close second place for fit but then a big number one as BPA for me, personally.

Jabari Smith. With all these guards and wings that can't shoot, having a big that can space the floor for them to drive without relinquishing anything on defense is probably the best fit for a flawed roster.

Jabari is def the best fit. You can plug him right in. Banchero and Ivey are the worst fits but Id still pick them.

I think it's pretty easily Jabari. People saying SG is our biggest "Hole" are giving up on the #5 pick from last year way too soon. We can't replace Suggs that quickly. He needs to be given time to develop. A forward that can fill in between Franz and Wendell is easily the biggest hole. We cannot count on JI at this point. And then when you consider Jabari's skill set it meshes perfectly with our current roster.

Honestly, Chet is the best fit if you look at how we played last season. He slots into Bamba's role seamlessly and upgrades that position tenfold.

Fit like team need?

This team needs a superstar, none of its current players matters. We dont have that guy yet.

I think out of Jabari and Chet, Chet has the most potential to be THE guy.

So yeah, I’m team Chet, I’d still be happy if we ended up with Jabari though.

We just need a franchise altering guy. We need to swing for the fences now, 10 years of mediocrity is enough. Chet seems To be the generational talent in this draft.

Keegan Murray is probably the best ‘fit’. He has outside range comparable to Jabari, but can score inside almost as efficiently as Chet, and create his own shots. Plus he’s a 2-way player who can guard the perimeter.

Put him alongside Franz and WCJ and you’ve got a front court who are versatile and can play on and off the ball whilst still creating space for our perimeter-struggling guards.

The bonus is Keegan is slated to be a later pick, so trading down for him would also bring additional assets.

Jabari and Paolo both fit Best in my opinion but in different ways. Jabari will stretch the floor and be an instant impact shooter, Paolo will bruise with Wendell and soft teams will not like dealing with them at all. I prefer Paolo but Jabari is #2 for me now.

Rule numero uno....Never ignore BPA. Always go with BPA.

Jabari is the best fit. He’s the best worker in the draft, currently has the most NBA-ready body, fills our shooting need badly. Fits very well with Wendell, Franz, and Fultz.
He’s the best who can play switchable defense.
He can shoot and turnaround jumper defenders like Dirk/Rashard. That is an elite post-up skill even if he’s not backing defenders up like a traditional big. There’s mismatch exploitation opportunities. I’m not worried about the lack of scoring in the paint at Auburn, that’s not what they wanted him to do. Plus, we have Wendell for that:

Chet is a great help blocker, but so is Bamba. No one confuses Mo to be a good overall defender. Chet has a better BBIQ but he also struggles with true athletes. I don’t need Jabari to block a million shots if he stays in front of perimeter players with his crouching Gianni-like defensive stance and prevents dudes from driving into the paint entirely.

Jabari or Paolo is the best player available. Paolo you can argue does some things similar to either Franz or Wendell (not a bad thing, but that hurts his ‘fit’ case) more so than Jabari. But Paolo is viewed as a definite alpha scorer (more so than Jabari at the moment who I think will be as well because dribbling isn’t that tough to teach) which is the other big fit need we have.
Paolo looks lighter than 250 now. He’s more mobile than given credit for and Julius Randle comparisons are completely wrong. He’s somewhere on the Jabari Parker-Jayson Tatum scale. And Parker would’ve been great too if not for the injuries.

only question to me about Keegan is his true height. is he 6'8? thats more SF height. we also dont know his length, he didnt do any measurements at the combine.

how is that quantified? because by every report, Chet is a workout warrior too. Im sure many other players putting in the work too. and Chet more than a "help blocker", he goes chest to chest against big men. Watch him vs Duren in the tournament.
