I remember someone winning rookie of the year and he’s not even in the league any more.

Everyone likes to pat themselves on the back about being seasoned bball fans and not overreacting about Summer League... and then half of them do it anyway.

Without fail. I fully expect Paolo to be trash during SL and watching as half the Magic fan base and half the NBA world overreacts and mocks and makes fun of the Magic and their FO and saying we "screwed up" with picking Paolo over Chet.

He jumped to first based on that first game, then he dropped back after the 2nd game. Remember that LV responds to betting and people get overly hyped for SL, so I'm sure it was just a flurry of betting that pushed it after that first game. It's a very long season, so no reason to pay much attention to it til like March.

Kevin O'Connor did a Spotify Live right after Chet's first game for Magic fans who thought they screwed up for not taking Chet.

Dude.. we have someone in the lineup fighting for his next contract in RJ. I would expect a Cole Anthony Mentality on him to show he is worthy of a contract extension.

if he isnt a willing passer, he wont get that extension. he has not shown to be an efficient scorer

if he isnt a willing passer, he wont get that extension. he has not shown to be an efficient scorer

Actualy, later into last season we all thought he was acting and looking right for a 3&D guard.

As long as we don't ask him to create but shoot the 3 or attack the rim, he looks fine.

I expect the contrary, he does things his coach tells him to do. That’s why steve clifford gave him a lot of playing time. Also, I don’t think he’ll force it on summer league games. He is a vet, he knows summer league isnt worth it.

He probably knows his game isn’t capable of being an efficient scorer.

On the contrary, i think SL is the perfect time to showcase under appreciated skill. In RJ's case, his scoring prowess.
