Bol Bol Discussion Thread: Long-Term Starter or Reserve?

Post#1 » by NavalAviator94 » Tue Oct 25, 2022 3:30 am

Somebody had to do it and start the Bol thread.

Can this guy become one of the best players on our team? I love watching him play.

I believe he can be a legit rotation player, and he actively uses his length along with energy alot better than Bamba. There were multiple times his length either discouraged the Knicks from taking a shot or had them readjust their shot which caused a miss

He has to limit his dribbling in particularly crowded spaces or get better at dribbling lower to the ground.

It's still an entertainment product. I've found the fun every season for the last 10 years. There's not always a lot, but it's there.

Yeah but beyond entertainment. You can see that this team is 2-3 years from being good, right?

That a guy with notorious motivation problems is smoking Mo Bamba in terms of effort and application is all you need to know about MoMoney Bamba.

Congrats Bol on starting to turn your career around. Keep it up. Love the fire.

Bol is very interesting player, and hopefully he can stay healthy.
Better than i expected given his nba history.

He also plays with energy & effort. unlike that 6th overall pick ....eyeroll

He's winning me over...he's absolutely utilizing his length (which is far from automatic for bigs). As wild as he appears to play, he seems to be playing to his strengths on both ends. It looks like a circus and he's been a trainwreck for years, but what I'm seeing is a motivated, fearless guy excelling in a very limited but meaningful role. Can't argue with his effect...especially on closeouts at the perimeter. Imagine him and Isaac on the floor together.

Bamba should become the 3rd stringer giving all the minutes to Bol. Their NBA calibre are different to an extreme that I wonder if Bamba should just be waived.

same here. questions about his motivations seem to be put to rest, at least for now. And showing some decent skill out there. definitely earning his playing time
