What is clear to me is that if Suggs, Anthony and Ross are shooting well, and the bigs are not, Orlando should move towards a traditional set of offensive plays where the guards shoot and the forwards pound the ball inside.

All I see right now is offensive mismanagement from coach when I look at the shooting numbers from down-town.

Similar is with assists, over 5 games Siakam and Vleet have more assists than Orlando.
Now ,ofc it's hard to get assist when nobody can make a shot , but that's why shooting is so important in this league.

Magic in theory have more than capable passers. but it really doesn't matter if there is nobody to take adventage of those looks.

If our “bad” would shoot their average we would be so much better (minus Paolo because he’s a rook, not sure what his average would be). Not sure why everyone decided to suck at the same time.

The assist thing is intolerable and has to fall on Mosely. I hope they develop some semblance of an offensive scheme. I would also say that good ball movement creates better quality (open) shots...guys find out they can actually shoot when they play with a real PG or beautiful team ball movement and making that one "extra pass". I forget the stat, but Luka creates an unbelievable amount of very open shots for teammates with his gravity and vision...DAL's crappy lineup of misfits is suddenly full of "great shooters".

Dude it's five games. Franz isn't a 20% 3 point shooter. I'd like to say the same about Okeke and WCJ, but i am not as confident. You don't change strategy because of a 5 game sample size on 3 point shots.

Franz will finish the year in the mid 30's, which is at least fine. Paolo, might be a longer term project.

Yeah I just looked at Franz's monthly splits last year. There was a 14 game stretch in November (the whole month except the first game) where he shot 12-47, 25%. He's going to be streaky. We just have to take a deep breath.
