Magic will be one of the more interesting teams to watch for the next few years

Assuming Fultz and Isaac come back and achieve their previous expectations, we'll be one of the more unique, exciting and talked about teams for many years to come. Even if they don't, I think we have enough pieces to be fun to watch.
Suggs because he's a crazy pissed off rooster on the court.
Bol Bol and Bamba because they are so unique.
Vagner because he's a white knight that hoops like crazy.
Banchero because he's Italian number One.
And so much more.
I almost wish we don't get two top ten pics next summer just because it might mess with our chemistry.
And while the Magic have been my #1 favorite sports (not just bbal) team since 1993, I have not liked a coach as much as I have liked Coach Jamahl. IDK yet if he'll take us all the way or not, but I like him as a person. He does not annoy me.

Not sure if Orlando really trying to bring in 2 rookies next year, I do think the team is a lot easier to watch than some of our past teams. They are exciting. I just need better basketball from some of our players.

With how the magic are obviously tanking by holding back injured players they are definitely bringing in two rookies.

Yeah, if we land 2 lottery picks, both will be on the roster next year unless there is a trade for a legit star.
It’s super early but we’re slotted for picks 5 and 6 right now. For context, in the last 2 drafts that would be Suggs and Giddey or Ivey and Mathurin. We could certainly use 2 of those caliber guards if possible.

I agree, Banchero is that dude and Wagner is a gamer. Going to be interesting to see how the rest of the team comes together.

I don't think average fans attention span is big enough.
Go back in 2020.
So Lakers have Lebron, winning championship. Giannis is apsolute monster and is achiving something historical.
Warriors still have 3 HOFers. Jokic is having historical season for a center.... Yet League Pass is being sold on notion that some mediocre 30-42 team will be in bubble. League is going against any logic to expend Bubble just to put them in.
Ofc i'm talking about team nobody gives a f*** today. Pelicans.
From "most exiting young team" ( who actually was very mediocre ) to team nobody cares about ( but who is actually good team) in span of 2 years.
Why? Because that hype in 2020 was sold to same people who in 2022 only care about Banchero, Victor, Smith ,Scoot or Mathurin.
I call those fans pedofans. In no other sport there is such an sick obsession with teenagers. And as soon they mature as playres
( literally turn 22,23) they move on from them in never ending obsession to find new younger players.
So by the time Magic start compete for anything, there will be some 17 years old 7'6 dude who is yet to shave but shoots 3 point shots with his foot, while blindfolded and some mediocre team that gets him will be hottest team to watch, according to media who's job is to hype living s*** out of those players.
There is some food for your toughts. Victors Wembanyama played 227 min in Euroleague last year . Good luck finding more than 13 min of footage from it, despite fact 50 Europien countries and over 500 000 000 people had somewhat free access to watching those games. Do you know why footages don't exist? I have few theories. Mainly because last year pedofans were too obsessed with making videos about Banchero, Smith, Holmgren..:But as soon as they were drafted, pedofans already found new object of desire. So now we have footages of Victor in French league that pretty much nobody, including Franch media, doesn't normally cover all that much.
NBA is masterful at selling illusion. They keep fans of bad teams engaged by hyping living piss out of draft to encurage them to daydream about draft & sucking for "new Lebron".
In same time, fact that teams are good- win, keeps current fans.
That's why there is such a hate toward "threadmill" teams. Nevermind fact that almost every single championship team was threadmill at some point, because you can't jump form 20 wins to 65 wins over span of 9 months.

I don't think your theory is correct. I think ESPN is desperate for new stars, so they hype anyone coming into the league. They need a constant churn of new stars to keep people engaged.
If the player they hyped turns into a star, they continue to feature them because stars get eyeballs and clicks. If the player they hyped doesn't turn into a star, they're discarded -- not because of age but because it's clear they're not going to be stars.

I can prove my theory with tengable evidence.
This is google search for Zion Williamson in USA

As soon as he stopped being rookie people stopped giving a f*** and moved to new object of obsession
Giannis is very good example of it. For example, today, guy is playing just amazing season. He is best player in nba today. He is MVP and DPOY candidate and should be favorite in both categories. Literally month ago he had back to back 40 points-double double games.
Yet more people were searching on google for him back in...2016? When he scored 30 points- twice whole season? But ofc, that "new big deal" factor was strong and he was 21 years old.
And ofc there is Porzingis. Who's fans intereset died after 2 years. Flat out -flat lined. By the 2016 they were already into Bender, Maker and "new Porzingis " , nevermind having him in same league, being at times what? 22 years old.
it's constant chase for something. Zero enjoyment in moment and actually those guys play their best basketball in their actual prime. More people today would rather watch game with Victor than game with Tatum. Nevermind fact Tatum is just 24 and apsolute stud & his team is one of favorites to win it all. ONce Victor enters the league they will just find new obsession.
ESPN is just slightly more on the nose with their agenda than others. I don't watch baseball, i don't even know the rules. But for one whole summer (2013, god i hated that summer, i had subjects to pass at college and wasted whole summer study) they were pumping Yasiel Puig to the moon. I thought that guy was, by their words, become GOAT.
Now i googled him, and figured guy plays in South Korea. That can't be good i guess?

Pepe what you say is correct, but it is just the perversion of making money over any possible reamining shadows of any pure sport-watching passion.
i mean,no one is really interested to watch an nba game or a soccer game,we are really the minority part.
especially if you are young and you are not use to,games are boring.exciting storylines are not.
who cares about magic vs pacers or jazz vs heat when you could have the amazing 2.85 m.french freak 19 yo storyline?
and is not a rant,it's just the way things are.
professional sports gonna end up like combat sports,it's pretty clear they gonna follow that path.

If we went back in time and the Tatum/Brown duo was 20 and 21-years-old, I'd take the Wagner/Banchero duo over them.
Banchero and Wagner just have more size.
If healthy, the next 5-10 years will be the Banchero/Wagner era for the Magic. These players could re-write the Magic record books.

Maybe, but they both still need to make a higher percentage of 3s.

Even with the 3-pt slump, Franz/Banchero still have the TS advantage.

Cool, can't wait to compare their ECF stats
This comparison is everything wrong with NBA & fans nowdays.
You have sample size of 11 games of one player and 17 games of the other , team that is sitting at awful 5-12 record ( 4th worst in nba) and casually comparing numbers to guys who were key contributors on team that didn't just won 55 games but aslo played in ECF.
For comparison sake, Magic are yet to win 55 games in all games they played from 2020-21 season to this date, combined.
It's like that old 80s joke that Bulls had best guad duo ever, they combined for 50 ppg. Jordan averaged 40, Paxton 10. But hey, "tehniqually speaking".

I’m a die hard fan and have lost interest. Hard for me to root for a team that purposely doesn’t want to win. Amazed how people still show up to hone games to watch this garbage. Amazed how this fanbase supports losing.

I think all the magic need at this point is time. I am starting to agree with Kinghtbro that next year or maybe in two years upper management starts putting talent around the young guys but at the moment I think the magic fans should be patient. The talent is there, all they need at the current moment is the time to cook.
