Going to be a tough game. Interested to see how good Utah is.

Kind of want to take in a game tonight, even though it's a 3am start here. Which of the 7 eastern time games should I watch to keep me awake (out of NOP@DET, ATL@IND, NYK@WAS). I was thinking of taking the Pacers game, since I haven't seen a ton of them this year, but I think Haliburton is out (?). I might go Knicks vs Wizards instead.

Other than that, I'm hopeful for a win tonight, even though games at Utah (and at Denver) are always tough.

Utah is a bit like the kings in that they're a good offence that spams 3s while their defence isn't very good. They don't play with the same pace though.

I'm also going to be interested to see who covers Markkanen because Paolo can be leaky, and Wendell is much better suited to Kessler (being near the rim) so maybe Franz goes to Lauri? Or maybe I'm overthinking it and Paolo guards his position.

Yeah I'd go Franz on Lauri for starters.

Kessler pops as a STUD. Limited minutes? but huge winning impact? I'm curious to see how he looks with the eye test.

My prediction is they bury us in 3 pointers. Flip a coin in the NBA, it’s probably time for another hot shooting team.

We already got our 2 wins on this road trip so I’m not going to worry about it.

Haha yeah I remember you being around when I first started lurking here from time to time(obviously your username caught my eye). That must've been around the '09 season/run, I doubt it was much earlier than that.

As for your questions, yes, I am. I'm from Leiden originally, but these days I'm living and working in Rotterdam. And no, I don't really play anymore, and never really did competitively. I already played 2 other sports at a high-ish level when I started getting into basketball in the mid-2000's, and didn't really have time unless I dropped one (which I didn't want to do). I did play on the playgrounds fairly often, and joined a friend who did play for the occasional practice at a local club. But not enough to become any good

If we can handle their guards, I do feel we will have a chance to steal this game. Playing in Utah is always a pain in the rear though. Good test for our forward tandem in a hostile crowd environment.

Don't forget the elevation, although playing in Utah (4k elevation) is nice warmup for Denver (5k elevation) next.

Like some have said if they hit the 3 at a high clip they most likely win. Withe Conley out it helps but in not sure we pull this one off. They seem like one of those annoying teams the magic jjst won't figure out. Well see, GO MAGIC.

Don't have the data to back this up, but seems like high pace and fast breaking teams give us problems. Something to watch.

Coach Brian Hill just said Franz is 5th in the league in 4th quarter scoring.
Giannis, Mitchell, Lebron, and Derozan are the only players ahead of him.

I wanted Kessler even when I saw him in UNC then when he transfered to AUB... he caught ny eye more often than Jabari lol

I wonder if our players would be afraid to go to the rim with his presence.
