Rivers 3 games.

Seems harsh across the board.

The Suggs suspension is absolutely ridiculous but completely expected from this garbage league.

Donovan Mitchell got a zero game suspension after brawling with Dillon Brooks, Suggs clumsily trips while trying to break up a fight and gets a suspension.

The league will continue to make an example out of us while going easy against other teams because nobody outside of a few schmucks on social media will give a s***.

Bamba getting suspended right before playing Steve Clifford again is unfortunate timing.

Meh. I was more mad about the last one.

I'm emotionally detached from Mo, and Suggs will get a nice lesson about not tackling people. On to the next game.

Had a feeling Suggs would get suspended as well out there tackling players like he's playing Free Safety.

There goes our opportunity to showcase Bamba. Also, "aggressively grabbing" is a weird way to describe somebody breaking up the fight. It's only one game for Suggs, but it's pretty clear his intention was to break it up and not escalate it.

What Killian Hayes did was worse, so it's a horse**** suspension length for that reason. Suggs should appeal, I feel like the union should have his back on it. But it's only one game so maybe it's not worth the effort.

Absolute BS. Rivers initiated the physical confrontation. He was in the game and left the court to approach a player sitting on the bench. Yes Bamba jumped up and had his part in it from there but in the interest of fairness and transparency they both were equally as guilty after that so suspensions should be equal to each other and should be less than the suspension given to Hayes who punched a guy in the back of the head after he was pushed into the opponents bench.

If what they say is true Bamba continuing the confrontation in the back probably what gave him the extra game.

Suggs, nothing to argue there. Not sure why he thought that was a good idea, heat of the moment I guess.

I just can't square these suspensions with Donovan getting nothing and Brooks getting a 1 game suspension from this that happened just the day before:

Bamba left bench and entered floor. That's automatic suspension. Tounting of starter from bench player is probably viewed as aggravating circumstance. Throwing punch first is also aggrevating circumstance.
I actually expected 5+ games for him.


Heyes got lower punishment because he didn't start fight (albet what he did is way more dangerous).


Suggs got suspended because he went for Rivers' head and neck , probably without that intention, but it is what it is.

Not only does this show no remorse and complete obliterate a "heat of the moment" defence, this is petty and small of Bamba.

I was of the mind of "1 game" until I read that he did this. And, I am glad Rivers did not re-escalate the situation in a second confrontation. That is maturity.

He is lucky he isn't punished harder. Can't wait until this season ends to i don't have to watch that dummy any more. Probably year away from China's league anyway.

Some suspension was obviously warranted (against Rivers and Bamba), but the league (Dumars?) is showing their bias against the Magic once again. How both fighters didn't get the same punishment is beyond me. And Donovan Mitchell somehow got 0 games for throwing a ball at an opponents head before swinging at him. Feels like the Magic are the nba's "we can make an example out of those guys, nobody cares about them"-team. Hopefully it fuels an "us against everybody else" mentality within the team.

I'm annoyed by the Suggs suspension, but I do kind of get it. You can't do a flying tackle on the opposing team's player. Even if he just meant to break it up and slipped, when breaking up a fight you go for and grab "your guy" not the "other guy", I learned that while going out when I was like 16, and I assume it still applies.

Oh and Pepe you're delusional, Mo Bamba will be on some nba roster for at least a few more seasons after this one, I've seen enough reports of other teams interested in him (whether that's smart on their part, that's another matter).

Delusional for what? Because there is like 50% chance no nba team will want part of 27 years old -zero potential bench player in 2025?

I mean , sure , there is chance he'll stick around as deep bench body for longer, but he is occesional DNP-CD guy on team that holds 5th worst record . Every year army of very good players arrives. He is 25 years old and not very good. What's selling point for his future career?

Best case Nerlens Noel type career. Guy who will accept 50 DNP-CDs a year.

If you invade someone's personal space off the court, you have the right to do whatever it takes to defend yourself.

We're used to having those girls, Vuc and Fournier, who were too afraid to defend themselves
