I don't think anyone can replace Dwight Howard for me. He played my favorite position on the floor, he was an amazing defensive player and he was okay offensively. He is the reason why I am a Magic fan. I'm curious who is your favorite player and why?

I don't tend to be a player fan. But I do have a favorite and that is Hedo Turkoglu. Just a fun and funny player. I also like his archetype, that playmaking wing. I think Franz is an allstar version of Hedo and given he is German I'll likely gravitate to him over time. But I also really like Paolo and his personality, so...

T Mac. In his day, he was going toe to toe with Kobe for the scoring title.

Penny.
Just the most outrageously gifted and likeable player the Magic ever had.
Franz is an entirely different archetype, but I do like me some Franzchise too

Never got too attached to any other but there are players I grew fond. I guess that's normal after 30 years :
Bo Outlaw, JJ Redick, Armstrong, Mike Miller, T-Mac, Jameer, Darko, Hedo, Vuc, Pietrus
Will be adding Franz soon.

Historically D-12,was the golden boy of our golden era, really wish he had a different personality and being a magic all his carreer.
Loved also rashard, pietrus,Jj and especially j.Nelson from that team.
post dwight era almost no one,i like Fultz and Isaac a bit more for their carreer trayectories and because i think they were super talented without injuries.

The White Hammer baby!
IT was pure comedy how he tried to battle Shaq. Cemented me to become a fan!
Seriously though, what made me watch the games was Tmac at first.

I’ve been a fan of a lot of guys, Hedo is close to my all time fav, same with T-Mac, Jameer and Vucevic. Franz will join the list if he’s here a few more years, but my all time favorite, number one guy was Marcin Gortat, I wish we had never traded that dude.

T-Mac. Became a Magic fan because of him. At the beginning of their careers, he was as good as Kobe!

This is a weird one for me, but upon reflection, Jonathan Isaac. I don't care for his beliefs, his political stances, and choices of who he's associated with off the court...But, I LOVE the way he plays defense. It's so impactful - the game is different when he's on the court. His dedication to defensive effort AND his instincts combined with length and mobility is so unique. I hope he's really back for good this time. I'm not saying I wouldn't consider trading him or that he's our best player or that he's even ever going to return to form...Just that he's so different in the way he impacts games...Like Deion Sanders impacted the other team's offensive schemes (even if he didn't touch the ball once).

As a nearsighted child who came of age in the early 90s, I'm going to say Horace Grant was my favorite all-time Magic player. There's been plenty of fan favorites who I've loved on the team (most recently Jalen Suggs, his defensive intensity is fantastic), but just the timing and success of Horace's run puts him at the top for me. Also, he's the only player I ever had the jersey for.

For me it was Penny. Not only for how dynamic he was on the court…the Lil’ Penny Nike campaign came around at the exact right age for me when I thought it was the coolest thing ever.
Chris Rock, Tyra Banks, the book “Knee high and livin’ large”…it doesn’t get any better.

Was always a Fan of Penny and Shaq but T-Mac was the one who made me watch the magic. In my opinion, other than Lebron and Shaq I have never seen a guy that good and dominate. Everything he shot seemed to go in and it was so effortless. I always find myself looking for the next T-Mac (Paul George has been the Closest thing) to no avail. I am so happy I got to see him in his prime, it sucks the magic wasted it.

Dwight.
Guy wasn't even all that talented ( couldn't shoot to save his life, had no post moves, wasn't as big as Shaq ,wasn't even all that tall ) but played hard. Yet, morons from TV on regular bases were tearing him down for "lacking physicality".

I remember when we heard that Fournier was better than Derozan because of his TS.

Of all the criticisms of Dwight, I sure don’t remember that one…he was busting guys open with elbows in practice. I thought “physicality” was ALL he had - and to an All-NBA level.

They called him soft 1000 times.
Kobe even called him soft in middle of a game
Durant said he is , and i qoute " pus** "
Shaq blasted him in public too many times to count...
Difference between him and other thugs wannabes is fact that he was well aware of fact he is stronger than vast majority of nba players and didn't have to act it out. And imo, his smile was more irritating to opponents than any thugish behavior

I’ll agree to “soft” mentally. Monster physically.
