Terrence Ross & Mo Bamba Appreciation Thread

Post#1 » by SOUL » Sat Feb 11, 2023 11:17 pm

Didn't see a thread for either pop up and both were here quite a while.. and I know way worse players with shorter time served here have gotten some. Try not to be dicks if you don't have anything nice to say lol, there's plenty of other threads for that. 8-)

I think regardless of expectations, Bamba was a great locker room guy and everybody seemed to enjoy being around him and he never really caused problems (besides fighting Austin on the way out ) Had games where he looked exactly what we needed with shooting and defense but those were way too few and far between. I know people had high hopes which is what made people more angry with him, but after looking back in the last 10 drafts.. you realize how many players actually materialize into who you think they should be. I think in a limited role he can be quite useful in LA.

Ross was a real solid dude as well and has a great podcast that people should check out. He was always talking great stuff about Paolo/Franz and hyping Isaac's return too. Brought some great memories after the initial disaster of an Ibaka trade and always felt like a guy that all the young guys could easily talk to and get along with. The torch can still get lit at times even if it's not as often as we'd liked. When he was lit though.. maybe one of the most fun things to watch in recent times. Hope he finds a nice landing spot!

Ciao!

It looks like both could end up in better situations for them.

I'm sure their voice in the lockeroom will be missed. Bamba was the funny one, and Ross was the big brother.

Ross is still athletic and if he’s open he’s automatic. We didn’t like his shot selection but with an elite playmaker on his next team he could be a real weapon for someone.

Mo was getting a little better, hopefully he’s serviceable going forward. Feel like at times we will miss his size until we get a replacement

Big fan of TRoss, it’s arguable his stellar play a few years ago ended our post Dwightmare playoff drought. Made a lot of huge plays for that team. I hope the Human Torch gets sparked in Dallas.

I appreciated some of the philanthropy Bamba showed during the pandemic, on the court he just never had the fire in his gut he needed to become a major contributor here.
You look confused...let me fill you in.

Bamba does not deserve any appreciation since he is so lazy and just does not care

Nope. I specifically said if people want to talk ****, do it in other threads.

Consider this a warning, next is 3 day.
