Let's say Orlando Magic get the #1 pick, would it be beneficial for them to possibly acquire #2 pick and select Scoot Henderson?

We could package Paolo Banchero and Bulls pick for #2.

This move allows Orlando to get a dynamic lead guard with two way upside and allows more room for Jonathan Isaac and Bol Bol to grow in the front court with Victor.

Maybe Orlando moves Franz to the two spot.

I would highly recommend against this.

Paulo has shown superstar potential and plays the point forward role which is a big deal in today's NBA

While both clearly talent, there is no guarantee either are better than Paulo, let alone as good.

We also have an overload of guards, so taking away a forward and adding a guard, who is questionable shooting (something most of guards struggle with) would also be another reason I wouldn't consider a trade like this.

It's good you are thinking of trades though, especially as there is a good chance we'll trade one of our picks this year

Orlando would have to outright land the #1 pick. That’s the only possible way to get Wembanyama. Nobody is trading that pick.

Orlando wouldn’t trade Paolo or Franz for Scoot, nor should they.

Other teams probably wouldn’t trade Scoot for Paolo. Hard to compare but I’d guess he’s seen as a better prospect even with knowing how well P5 has been this season. I wouldn’t do it either from our pov.

If we land Scoot we wouldn't need FVV in free agency and to get a guy that plays hard all the time, is hard to pass up.

These two could be this generations Shaq and Kobe!

Plus if you look at our roster our team plays better with ball movement, Paolo is a pure ISO player

I think most teams would take Paolo straight up for Scoot, the Bulls pick wouldnt be necessary. You take the player who's already demonstrated he has the career trajectory of a star and has just as high potential over the player who should become one and also has high potential.

I wouldn't do the trade for the same reason.

He probably comes off the bench, he's a solid player but Bol Bol and Isaac have too much two way upside compared to WCJ. IMO

Banchero will not be traded for anything. It does not matter if Orlando gains value in a trade, this sort of trade cannot and will not happen.

The only players I would trade Paolo (outside of NBA draft prospects) is Giannis or Luka!

I only say this because while this is his first season in the league, he's more of a Scottie Pippen type instead of a Michael Jordan.

So in theory Orlando has a better chance building around him than trading him!

With that, Orlando needs that Jordan player to go along with Paolo.

Scott and Victor are potentially Jordan level players.

Whatever the trade is, that's a no for me.

I believe Scoot's sisters had serious knee injuries. I'm not sure if it's genetic. What if we traded Paolo for Scoot, and then he was plagued with knee injuries while Paolo had a HOF career?

I appreciate the creative spirit but this would have a minus likelihood of happening. Also these posts can go in one of the stickied threads where we talk about draft stuff, trade stuff, FA stuff, etc.
