I ran a Monte Carlo simulation and I got some bad news.

If season ended today, most likely draft order would see the Magic with the

7th and 9th draft picks.

Of course there are odds that the Magic could see better with their own pick and slightly better with the Bulls pick, but that is most likely based on my sim.

Your prediction?

Magic drops to 7. Bulls move to 1

Back to back #1 picks. I feel it.

Interesting you would say 7 for the Magic.

Even though they have the 5th worse record, pick 7 was the most common result by a wide margin.

3 games separate us (currently 5th best odds) from the Pacers (currently 6th best odds).

Wrapping this season up with the 5th best odds with our assets, cap space, and young talent would be a huge victory. Franz, Paolo, Wendell, Suggs, Anthony, cap space, Chicago's '23 FRP, Denver's '25 FRP. Toss in a 10.5% chance at Victor Wembanyama (!!!) and we could really blow the doors off next season and the next decade. Even landing top 3 to get Miller would be a huge win for this franchise. The mere 10.5% chance at a generational talent with what we have is a huge win.

It's a wealth of riches for WeHam. I feel like this upcoming build has more resources and options than any previous rebuild and is on par with the Shaq/Penny initial build. WeHam have played the rebuild beautifully.

I take 7th and 9th without any problem.
