Team needs going forward

What do you guys think this team needs going forward? Rim protector? Rebounder? Creator?Shooter?Could be a pivotal off-season for the Magic.
The Front Office seems extremely loyal and willing to be patient with younger players in their development process.
We should let the young guys we already have just get playing time together and grow internally.
We already have a somewhat solid 8 man group (Markelle-Gary/Jalen-Franz-Paolo-WCJ with Cole and Moe W off the bench) so looking at that group, assuming we don't move off any of those 8, what I'd like to see us get is an off the bench reliable wing shooter and an off the bench reliable defensive minded 4/5 (who, ideally, also would be able to shoot threes).
Drafting Gradey Dick/Keyonte George and Taylor Hendricks/Jarace Walker could maybe solve both of these.

A starting shooting guard that excels playing off the ball, with a great catch and shoot game and stellar defense
A swing-man that can lockdown positions 2 & 3 and shoot the three ball
A starting point guard that's pass first with the ability to knock down 3s and defend the position at a high level
A power center that can protect the rim and rebound to back up WCJ
A combo forward that can lockdown positions 3 & 4 and shoot the three ball

The biggest priority for this team moving forward is more 3PT shooting.
They need more volume and accuracy at both starting guard spots.
There are other needs and other nice to haves, but everything else is secondary to more shooting.

We need rim protectors, rebounders, shooters, and a great wing defender.
Everyone else need to increase their rebounds, better efficient shooting and league average defends.

Biggest need is an aggressive front office

That’s a nice generality but what specifically would you do? Who would you target?

In order of need.
1) Playmaking point guard that can run a pnr properly, defend, AND shoot.
2) Higher volume shooting guard that can defend.
3) Rim protecting Center that doesn’t take possessions on offense away from Paolo or Franz.

I like this description of our needed PG the best. Nice!

Shooting is important. But, if this team is serious about winning, then having a better, reliable back up center is going to be important with Wendell Carter Jr's injury history.

Definitely. He misses at least 20 games every season, so if we want to make a serious playoff push, we need a better backup than Mo Wagner.

I would suggest that the Magic use their second round pick to draft such a player.
But... that wont happen.

Nailed it...the QB position will have trickle down effects on everybody. Just starting with #2 (which is a real need as well) won't do it.
If there's any chance of Isaac coming back (I mean for real), he could really be #3. I'm ready to cut ties, but it hurts because he'd fit so well backing up 4/5.

I generally agree with the boards assessments on what the Magic need going into next year. To me it’s in this order.
1.Interior Defense and Rebounding - The Magic are too small in the paint at times and let rebounds get taken from them. Wendell is solid there but they need help. Goga has been helpful but another bruiser in the paint would help this team a ton. I have no issues with any of the guys we have, they all have there moments but we can use another. Issac can’t be counted on here unless he has a couple effective seasons in a row and gets back to himself.
2. Shooting - whether it be from the 1 or 2 guard spots, this is glaringly obvious. Harris and Anthony are solid shooters but we need an upgrade at the starting 2, a guy who can hit the 3 regularly and another athlete at the wings couldn’t hurt. I don’t see Caleb Houston being that guy going forward. Obviously from the 1 spot Markelle and Jalen Suggs need a ton of off season work. If both those guys could be solid enough shooting the 3 to keep defenses honest that’d be a huge help. I really like all 3 pg’s but the 3 ball is a major problem.
3. Leadership - This is where I think Markelle Fultz and WCJ are super important, and I’m hesistent to part with either guy. They are the leaders of this team, that’s been apparent since the teams improvement started a few months ago. Flaws in their games aside, this isn’t the same up and coming squad without them.

Great insight by many here echoing what a lot of us have been saying all season. I would also like to add the need for one more forward to relieve Paolo or Franz off the bench. Someone like Bobby Portis, Trey Lyles, Joe Harris, Saddiq Bey, etc.

This should be the job of Isaac and Okeke. But that clearly is not the path forward here. I love your list.
Joe Harris as a combo wing and Bobby Portis as a combo big would provide a solid, complete rotation. And it allows the Magic to keep toying with eh notion of Bol as an NBA player.
