Nick Nurse is proven young coach in the league. He overachieved significantly with the average roaster the Toronto Raptors had. I believe we have more talent in our squad - just not structured.

I was a big fan of Nurse before he was hired as a head coach but right now its not the best moment for us to change coaches and also Nick showed many flaws during his tenure. Mosley earned at least another year.(and i hate his rotations)

I’m not advocating for the Magic to change coaches. Mosely’s really got the Magic projecting in the right direction. I’d assume keep him.

As for Nurse, I’m really surprised he was let go, he won the championship in ‘19 after all. The Raptors have generally been competitive despite Kawhi leaving and Lowry. They’ve got some good young talent so the cupboard isn’t bare. If it’s a situation of just wanted to start fresh start with a new roster I kinda get that but it’s still a bit surprising considering Nurse is still pretty young.

He’d be a nice coach, imo.

He is quite an innovative coach.

But I dont think it is the right time, it sucks but hiring a coach is about timing also.

My thinking as well. We probably need another season of development and experimentation, and then two seasons where Mosley gets a chance to level up himself.

He'll be a hot ticket, IMO...if he didn't get offers, maybe Offensive Head Asst?

Can't undermine young Mosely, who has won me over for at least another year (to hopefully improve offense) with some new talent coming in (I hope).

I don't buy for a second the idea that moving Fultz or another starter for a better-fitting player would destroy the hard-working camaraderie that Orl has going on.

But get rid of Mosely right now and it could really happen. I'd be wary of tampering with that. Mose with some actual offensive weapons could be a very decent coach, so let's give him some and see how he gets on.

Players love Mosely. We can't get rid of him right now. We would likely be better off bringing in a few top tier assistant coaches.

Mosely seems like a guy that would be cool with his coaching staff stepping up and handling more.

Nurse is 55. what is your definition of young?

Hell no to Nick Nurse.

Nurse is solid but overachieves because he plays his starters 38 mins a game and they're all exhausted by the time its playoffs. Worked well the Kawhi year though.

Exactly why I think replacing him right now wont bode well with the players, IMO.

People just need to live in reality with our situation.

Fultz isn't going anywhere. Doesn't mean he's getting/should get an extension, but teammates like him and want to play with him. They like playing for Mose and he overachieved with this group. I get everybody has an idealistic view of this team at its best but its not by ignoring reality

He whines, too much, he overplays the starters, and he signed with Klutch.

I think Nurse is a good coach, but the Magic aren't looking for a coach right now.

I'd imagine Nurse ends up in Houston if he doesn't want to take a year off.
