Looking forward to next year when these kids will all be required to participate in the combine.

Jalen Hood-Schifino with some really nice measurements. Those hands are big, and he has a very nice wingspan.

Cason sightly smaller than I expected, but +6 wing span
Bailey has been a late riser and nice size and length, been doing well at some of these combine events...pretty solid across the board
Podziemski smaller than I expected.
Sasser has gotta nice wingspan to make up for that height
Hendricks looks like the real deal about perfect wing size, height and weight
Rupert 6'6",with +8" wingspan....those are pretty nice 3/D measurements, from a guy that might eventually do both

Edey, I don't know, he's not a defender, but man he is big, moves ok, and can pass a little bit. I'd say he's a big gamble, but every 2nd rounder is.

I knew he looked rangy on his tape.... But damn!

His measurements alone puts him in a different level of discussion.

His teammate too, Trayce Jackson-Davis, he lead the NCAA in boxscore plus minus with an absurd 16.... 6'8" 240lbs. (Edey was 2nd fwiw)

I don't know much about him but I wonder if he's just a good basketball player, sort of in the mold of Grant Williams. At that size with the offense and defensive out put reflected in BPM, he seems like he might be a steal, not even sure where he is projected to be drafted.

I'd be shocked if Amen went before Brandon Miller. You get into this idea of upside. Yah, if Amen learns to be a 3 level scorer with his athleticism, i imagine him as one of the best players in this league. Is that a possibility, i have no idea...but i think that gets thrown around as his upside.

I think upside gets thrown around too loosely. Just because we can imagine it, doesn't mean it is an actual possibility. He could spend the next year working on nothing but his shot, and still not learn to shoot (you would have thought that's how we have spent this year)....probably would be some improvement, but there is a limit to how good anybody can become at anything.

It's also possible that his upside is a slightly better version of what he is now. Like his skills marginally increase, and learns some craft, but that is it....I guess some guys don't even get better or get worse, though I'd say that in far rarer, but Fultz and Simmons might be good examples.

They are certainly going to be polarizing prospects. Very high imagined upside, and potentially very low floors given we have not seen them play against grown *ss men.

I think Miller has a chance to go 2/3 still. But well see.

In my head, the allegations of what Ja Morant doing it is definitely worse.

Miller isn't Ja Morant yet. But it is possible he develops into that now with his recent checkered past. Some serious interviews need to happen before a decision is made and of course making sure all the legal things are checked.

I do think out of the top 14 teams that would be excited to get a top 4 pick, one of them would pick or roll the dye on Miller.

It it was as simple as that he would have been charged, in fact his teammate was charged for basically that. You don't know who was in the car or the timing of the situation. People that were privy to the information, including video evidence, law enforcement did not charge him, or even really consider him at all, and a large NCAA school, which are certainly going to face heavy scrutiny from the governing body didn't even suspend him for a game.

I guess it depends on how you define talent, i prefer to consider that a refined skill.

From a talent stand point it is:
Wemby
Miller
Scoot

And then take your pick. The Thompsons are all projection, and raw athletic ability, decent vision and transition passing, i equate talent to skill. The Thompsons still need to learn their skills, i guess you could say talented athletes, but not necessarily talented basketball players, i guess they could be, but we haven't seen them play anybody above highschool kids. They have overwhelmed those kids with their incredible athleticism.

He's been top five on every big board I've seen. The only reason he could fall further is if there's fallout from the murder trial and he's getting charged or likely to get charged. That's still an ongoing investigation afaik

bit of oversimplification. a teammate had a gun in his belongings that was in the back of Millers car. Miller brought his car to the strip, said teammate got the gun out of the back of the car without involving Miller, then gave it to someone else who used it.

I am *not* trying to semantic my way through that issue. There's the association of who he's with and what they're doing and his involvement and getting them there. And that's enough even without charges being officially brought to make me consider his culture and character flawed.
