Status quo. Got two picks. So we still won the draft. Could have been better though

Could have been worse, but I’m still disappointed. I hope this doesn’t turn into another Bamba situation where we are just missing out on stars by the skin of our teeth. I think we need one more major piece if we are going to develop into a title contending team and we may have just missed out on that piece. Hopefully we find something special ar 6 though.

Pretty much this. WeHam have their work cut out for them this offseason to improve the roster, no gifted lottery luck this year.

Totally fine with this. The worst case scenario was the bulls pick becoming those two second rounders if we got bad breaks two lotteries in a row.

We are in a great spot to be busy with these. Either we:

Draft two young players like we did with Suggs and Franz.
Or
Trade both picks to move up for either #2 or #3 (trade value chart says it’s more than doable, AND both teams picking there don’t need a PG in Scoot).
Or
Trade one or both picks for potential veteran star talent.

Not saying any of these will happen but they all are at least options. Again, having the two picks was weirdly the most important thing. Will also add 6 isn’t bad as statistically were were most likely to end up with 7 or 8.

Cheers, amigos.

With Charlotte and Portland at 2/3 if the Magic love scoot (not sure they do) I’m thinking 6 and 11 is the best those teams can do if they want to trade down because a point might not fit (if blazers are keeping Dame and Miller would be next

So either the Hornets or Blazers going to pick Scoot and they're both set at PG. Wonder if the Blazers try to move the pick for a star. I think Miller goes 2. Rockets could take Black. Pistons Cam.
At 6 the Magic could take Hawkins or Hendricks. Atleast one of the Thompson twins could be available even at pick 11.

I really feel like I should be more happy. Didn’t move down and got number 11
Fine print disclaimer for Fultz:
I am high on Markelle Fultz. Yes I understand he is not perfect and needs to shoot more and better and turn the ball over less. I would really like to see him play one more year… and I did and he sucks time to move on.

Don’t see this FO passing on one of the twins if they’re available at 6.
A scoring guard.. never heard of one.

Ausar, 6'7, 7'0 w/s, big hands, with guard skills. That is exactly the player we need. Keyonte or Cason at 11.

Oof yea I agree. But they still have Cunningham. We we’re playing with house money and for once in my life I trust front office to get two decent players.

After the assumed first three, rockets and Detroit probably don’t want a guard. Does one of them have to take Scoot? Defiantly not Detroit, and if Hardens going to houston?
Am I crazy. Scoot at 6 or a chance to move up without 11?

Of course someone else could move up too…. But you would have to try hard to beat 6+

Gifted lottery luck? Is going from 2 to 1 really all that lucky considering the top 3 all have the same odds at 1? Also, how was it gifted? Considering we usually go down and staying at 6 was actually less likely than getting 1, I'd say we did have a bit of luck this year. I was honestly expecting 7-8.

I could be wrong but I don’t see the Magic taking either of the Thompson twins at 6. My bet would be on Black, Cam, or Hendricks at 6. Gradey or Hawkins at 11.

I'm super happy neither Detroit or Houston won. Both were blantantly tanking. At least SA needs the talent. That team is dry af.

Clearly I wish we got a top 2 pick, but the results was still better than anticipated. We held onto the Bulls pick and we got 6th which we had a higher chance of dropping from.

Now lets see if we can package both picks to move up for Scoot

Considering we just saw Detroit go from 1 to 5, yeah, we had lotto luck last year
