Lottery night - who you got at #6 ahead of all the gossip, team visits and trades? Assuming Wemby, Miller, Scoot and Amen are off the board by pick 6

Assuming Wemby, Miller, Scoot and Amen are off the board by pick 6, I think the Magic would pick Whitmore at 6.

If Whitmore is off the board, then I think it's trickier.

Probably one of Ausar, Black or Hendricks and then come back with a shooter at 11.

My money is on Black or Whitmore depending on who’s available.

To me it should be Whitmore. However, think Hendricks fits the front office mold for a #6 pick (Isaac, Bamba)

I am not so sure Amen goes top 5, especially looking at the teams. On the contrary i am quite certain Whitmore will go 3-5.
We could go Hendricks but Detroid also needs shooters and tall defenders. We are lucky we stayed at 6. Jarace Walker is not ideal but is a nice fall back option. I voted for Hendricks though.

The Blazers hold the hottest commodity. Charlotte jumping to the second pick, up from the fourth-best odds, brings an interesting dilemma and what some league personnel consider a suboptimal fit between Henderson and incumbent All-Star guard LaMelo Ball. That could very well lead the Hornets to choose Miller instead, which could allow Portland to hold a bidding war for teams hoping to acquire Henderson’s services. Or it could allow the Blazers to take one of Henderson or Miller, and gauge the trade value of other pieces on Portland’s roster.

If the Blazers are set on keeping Lillard, wouldn't they do 3 for 6 and 11?

I’d only do that for Scoot. I would not trade 6 and 11 for Miller.

I'm all in on Ausar at this early stage. If not Ausar, then Keyonte.

If we need shooting and iq we wont draft Amen Thompson and we wont move up for Henderson.
Moving up for Scoot would be so stupid imo. Teams will try to move out of those non shooters range.

I like whitmore.... measurements did come out more like a thick SG.

going with the remaining Thompson twin as i think his ceiling is going to be pretty darn high without a jumper and if he figures it out.... SHOOOOOOOOOOT.... he's golden. I'm all about trying to hit on a player with major upside and i can see him being what maybe people wanted andre iguodala to be before he became strictly 3nD. and i'll probably swing for Gradey with the 2nd pick.

both i love since they will be multi faceted wings

Trading for Scoot would be an absolute gamble…. I’d consider it but I’d be lying if I said I would be confident in making that trade… especially without knowing who we could draft at 6 and 11. For example, if we end up with Cam at 6 and Gradey or Hendricks at 11, there is no way I trade that for Scoot or Miller.

You want us to predict now when we don't have those sneakpeek videos on their workouts?

Hmmmm kinda hard. Heart wants George but mind want Hendriks

If it hadn't been for his stupid involvement in the shooting, I'd give it serious consideration. But Ausar at 6 is about as good a consolation prize as you could wish for.

I'm still trying to figure out The Thompson brothers.

If I had to pic today, I'd go with Cam Whitmore if he is available. Gradey Dick also is someone I like here even if it's early for some.

I would not trade up.

pretty sure Whitmore will go at #5.

i think ausar thompson he's really a guy WeHam could pick.

super educate and good caracter guy, athletic, great wingspan and with way more than just average playmaking skills.

he is projected to have a"connector"role in nba, some type of super-uber-glue guy,Livingston/Iguodala sort of

I think we go one high upside one high floor if we keep the picks. Ausar then Dick or Hawkins? at 11 is my uneducated guess.

My fear is Amen won't be off the board.
