well.... damn. I would be down... not gonna lie. Sorry Mo. lol
this will help with one of my concerns and bring another dimension to the middle as we don't have a post presence.... if true.
and damn would that be the biggest heist. He got us possibly 3 magic players (crossing fingers for another great draft) and ends up leaving chicago to come back. lol
mix this with pickups of ausar thompson and gradey dick.... that's a great offseason. JI come back please..... annnnnnnd i would be comfortable saying the playoff are in sight.

Not sure I buy the rumor but I mentioned this as a possibility a while ago… it makes too much sense for Vuc. I was okay with it months ago but the more I watch the bulls down the end of the season… man, I don’t think I could stomach his defense anymore. I guess it depends what the contract looks like.

Re: Vuc coming home
Before we all get too excited, a "discount deal" is probably something in the 4 for 70M range.
Vučević is still an outstanding rebounder and an efficient scorer. To sign with Orlando, this would be about ensuring salary many years from now.
That said, would I rather the Magic sign Vučević on a declining contract 70M: 25/20/15/10 or M-Wagner on a 4 for 50M contract, that's a super easy choice of Vučević.

Would be awesome....some posters didn't really like vuc when he was here....i appreciated him because he basically a throw in wasting away on doug collins bench in philly...nobody really expected anything from him and he turned himself into an above average player in the league....he also wasn't a player trying to get out of here or force their way out he really appreciated and loved the city and the people here...If the price works, Vuc makes us better

Re: Vuc coming home
If it’s for the same price as Wendell sign me up for sure.
Having Vuc off the bench and to cover the 20-odd games Wendell is likely to miss will be good. He’ll destroy backup C’s and give us a big boost off the bench.
If Isaac got healthy and joined him off the bench - forget about it. Depth for days and an answer for everything.

Yup. I agree with you on this one. He has his defensive shortcomings that needed to reinforced.... But he cared about the city and played his hardest... Getting better every year.
And I doubt they would pay him more that the starting center... Who is on a great contract. Who knows. But as a BACKUP.... Geez.... He's gifting us some quality bigman play and veteran leadership off the bench.
Haha... And if people want mo to stay... Obviously they don't care about defense either. And yes... The Franz/mo thing is something that we will all think about... But I think they'll be fine. Franz has established himself in this league... But I know he'll miss his roommate.

Instantaneous improvement. What a fantastic move if this is true.

Not sure i like it. Hes not a winner. Not him specifically, but his profile of a player. You just cant have plodding centers who clog the paint on offense and dont protect the rim on defense in a winning team. MAYBE if he were to come off the bench and at absolute bargain bin prices, but i dont imagine he will do that.

I honestly don't think he's capable of being a bench player, but if he is, he's welcomed. Bye Bye Mo Wagner, Bol Bol

Id prefer Moe Wagner 10 times over. He hustles, plays D, accepts his bench role. Why do we want to replace him with Vuc, who does none of these things? People here seriously underrate Moe Wagner. Not to mention HES FRANZ BROTHER! You dont see Milwaukee trading Giannis brother elsewhere.

This is a basketball team, not a foster home. If they want to stay together, they better hope Mo can keep up.

Vassell had knee surgery last season, but it looked minor. I would take a hard look before I gave two lottery picks.cedric76 wrote:Trade 6+11 for vassell+33

But it specifically says he will take a bargain discount contract AND take a backup lower minutes role.
Also.. clog the paint? This dude chucks 3s more than wcj even if it sometimes not advisable to do so.

Naaaah.MoeW ia still needed. Bolbol and okeke are sent packing while the regular 20game miss of wcj plus the unreliability of JI means MoeW and Vuc is practically needed.

Re: Vuc coming home
When we talk about discounts, I don't think he'd take more than like $1 or $2m less per season. $2m would really be pushing it because that would be $8m for 4-yrs. I think he'd tough it out in a place he didn't like for $8m.RookieStar wrote:shadrock wrote:Not sure i like it. Hes not a winner. Not him specifically, but his profile of a player. Orlando won't find better 3rd stringers in the G-league. So: for continuities sake, I think it is fine for both to take the Chris Duhan roll of high-paid cheerleading.

Re: Vuc coming home
Wendell Carter is currently better than Vuc. He isn't a big shot blocker, but he's effective.
