Building around Franz and Paolo with some vet savvy, which should include finding a PG and boosting offense.

I voted draft. It's most important to get one of the all stars that are in the draft.

I'd say the second most important thing is maintaining flexibility to tweak the architecture as we get more clarity around what we have outside of Franz and Paolo. I see the 2024 season as our last player development season.

What matters most is Paolo and Franz developing elite synergy as a duo.

Magic gives the guys another year before they make any major decisions.

I like this as long it involves some recognition that non-shooters in the backcourt that can't open things up for the two sure things have got to go. Even if it's a placeholder in the right direction...I agree that we still have to work out what we have while building at the same time...tricky time, but we are perfectly set up to pursue various angles.

It’s mostly ii.

Fultz, Cole, Harris, Okeke, and Carter were all part of the team before this FO landed on Franz and Paolo as the cornerstones.

They need to draft the absolute best complimentary players to those two guys. That’s the only thing that matters.

I refuse to believe this front office is dumb enough to think you can have your role players take precedent before your stars. The draft is the first step with two huge picks. Move whoever doesn’t fit.

Getting the right pick at 6. Weltham hasn't done the best with 6th overall picks with Bamba and Isaac. However, to me, each of the players available look like solid players with low bust potential so I have more confidence this year.

This trade wasn't some conspiracy - it was just a GM wanting AD bad enough where in most people's eyes he overpaid by a long shot to get him.

That’ll mean ignoring mocks and not picking the likes of Isaac/Bamba over Mitchell/SGA who’s slated to go after pick 11.

Bonus being, we’ve got the picks to do both.

We need shooters! Oh, and if we can pick up a HOFer in this draft that would be alright too.

Draft and development/internal growth first. Trades and FA if the right opportunity comes along but it takes two to tango which is why I'm less interested in discussing potential fictional trades.

I am more leaning towards draft instead of trading for a star, unless we encounter the possibility like Giannis.

But I think as of right now, we should focus building this team organically which is thru draft and player development.

This team is two deep and we could be very good next season

I said trade but I'm not necessarily meaning for an All-Star...we need solid vets who contribute to winning next to our young stars, IMO. Given our cap space and excess of picks, trade and FA market are somewhat interchangeable/overlap. Good players are rarely just stolen for money anymore. Solid guys like Joe Ingles (in the past) can do so much to improve a team, without overshadowing the primary guys...we need "no mistake, good example, calm demeanor, whatever is needed on a given night" guys. Not just funny aged vets like RoLo who gets a laugh every time he scores, but a guy(s) who really factors into the core of the team and will step into your starting role if you don't shape up-but doesn't need to. I've thrown around Divincenzo (UFA) and Kyle Anderson (trade) as examples. Either could be your best player on any given night but wouldn't come in expecting to start. Either will hit 3's, play defense, set up teammates with good decisions, smash an opponent who messes with a teammate, etc.

Obviously, not busting the draft is a given...but I'm not thinking about finding the next superstar as much as finding the "right guys" for our team. The more I look at those Thompsons' physical profile, the more it becomes intriguing to take a swing at one...but, safe shooter at 11.

I'd love an exciting swing at a big FA, but I'm not holding my breath for that kind of cojones...when we ARE making steady progress. As a fan, I really don't care to hear about 4 years from now, but it's an easy narrative to sell. I just fear, above all, moving slow and finding ourselves hamstrung with bad extensions on good, but not great players. Big vision is we need one more MONSTER of a talent in our backcourt and then reasonably priced, solid supporting players around our Big 3. Suggs is the big wildcard...what will he be, what will he cost, when?
