Been an absolute revolving door there since Robbins left for the Athletic a few years ago.

Figured Price wouldn’t be around long. Seems like a quick riser who will be working for a National outlet sooner rather than later. Seems to have good energy and did a good job of using fan feedback when it came to different topics to cover in his articles.

I’m sure they’ll just use someone that they already have on staff to cover the Magic temporarily and have someone new hired before the season starts.

I enjoyed his content on Twitter and the podcasts, though I never subscribed to the sentinel to read his articles. The team needs to do their part to buoy local paid coverage but we don't leak anything.

This seriously sucks. He was the best we've had in long time.

Very unfortunate, he provided much needed info to the general population of Orlando.

Possibly Brian Schmitz?

Unless there was someone in-between those two.

I think it was Schmitz, and he retired. I think Schmitz came up with Dwightmare.

Is O-Sen just going to roll with no Magic beat guy? Very confusing.

He was really good. He picked up where Josh Robbins left off and put his own refreshing spin on the job. He was really the only beat guy we had that I trusted and was interested in reading. I wish him the best. He has a bright future.

We have no on one covering the team from the O-Sen or The Athletic. Hopefully we can get someone good to step up this year. It should be a really fun team to cover.

The Magic should help fund a beat writer until the team starts winning.

We’ll find out if Khobi found a bigger market or something better nationally. The Sentinel is in trouble and will have trouble holding onto rising writers/journalists.

Since 2000, I believe the Sentinel had Povtak, Schmitz, Bianchi, Robbins, McCann, Hill, Parry, Price covering the Magic in some capacity (it ‘peaked’ when it was Schmitz, Robbins, McCann covering the Dwight teams simultaneously).

Magic media coverage in general is a concern. I’m sure we’ll get a Sentinel person but it may not be a basketball fan like Khobi was. No Athletic coverage. It’s just Phil and the blogs/pods, and Magic employees (Savage and Cohen). And whatever local TV folks swing by.

Ughhh...more of a vacuum in Magic reporting. We never got a replacement for Robbins at The Athletic.
Can't stand the questions the national/Magic blog sites ask at press conferences.

Really sucks that he's leaving. He did a great job covering the Magic and ASKING QUESTIONS, that so many reporters completely avoided. Less softball questions, and gave us alot more clarity than anyone else covering the Magic.

With the Magic developing to be a force in the East, I'd think the Sentinel should be able to fill his position. I don't blame Khobi for leaving. He's built for the big stage.

Left us to go cover the Lakers. The Magic pipeline just doesn't end... :(

I would imagine the glamour of the respective teams had very little to do with it.

I can't say for sure, but I have to assume he got a significant pay increase.

The Magic will become glamor one day

First, we have to change our logo! My nephew is a HUGE Magic fan.. lives in Atlanta in HS and he refuses to wear a Magic shirt, hat, etc.

Now one could say because it’s embarrassing to support a losing team. That’s not the case.

He wears his GA Tech gear which is currently a LOT more embarrassing to wear in Atlanta than the Magic.

He basically told me that he hates the logo. I 100% agree with him. The Magic have ugly swag because of our awful logo and I won’t wear it either.
