Some of their points and my opinions

1) Their Brown point.
It's just off putting to me. Guy had bad game 7, sure. But it was game 7 of ECF. His turnovers were terrible sure, but it's basketball. Don't be prisioner of moment, bad games happen, sometimes in worst possible time.

2) Their Playoffs context
I mostly agree with this. Everybody farts sunshine and rainbows during regular season because nobody plays defense and everybody looks better. Playoffs show true colors for most players

3) Richard Stayman wants to draft 6th pick
Interesting take. He thinks there isn't all that much value in 6th pick and too big of bust potential for potential suitors than actual value you can get in trade downs or trading 6th pick out of 2023 draft all together.

4 Their Boom or bust
Cam Whitmore
Thompson twins

To support this, he says that average potential 11th pick relative to other drafts is lot stronger in 2023 than average 6th pick in other drafts. Pointing out there isn't much potential star value at 6th to be grabbed, without massive bust potential

5 Dallas guy would draft Hawkins 11

6 Jeff Howrad was brought to workout against "defensive specialist" from Magic

7 Their Leaper pick Schifino

8 Their Magic pick shouldn't be Dereck Lively

He pretty much said what most people ignore when they evaluate bigs at college .No defensive seconds allowed him to sleep in paint. He needs at least 1 -2 years to be nba ready .Magic probably don't have 2 years to waste.

9 Dallas's guys Magic core would be Franz, Banchero,Wendell and Cole

And their conclusion: draft shooters and probably gtfo from 6th to lower to get asset(s) if you can

I'm most intrigued by the core. Cole over Suggs or Fultz is a unique take.

He did talk about Suggs in sense of Smart type combo guard but pointed out Cole had biggest pop in efficiency while maintaining solid production.

They lost me in podcast when they come to conclusion that "good value " for Magic would be Fultz 4 years $100M contract and irrational hate toward Jimmy Butler while drooling over Gordon and flat out ignoring that guy literally humiliated team by demanding trade in public, after demanding public in private and elaborated reasons for it " tired of losing".

I listen to them twice a week, every week, but I don't agree with them on a lot. But that's just like this forum, it's going to be difficult to agree on anything until this team is good.

There have been many hot takes here. This is probably the mother of.

Although on paper, When Cole did well, our bench was one of the best. The problem always being, Cole does nothing great and scores good.

Alternatively, if we somehow managed to get rid of Fultz and you talk me opening night the SL was

Paolo, Franz, WCJ, Suggs, Cole.

You know, that doesn't make me mad at all.

Add shooters off the bench and we are playing with fire. But probably need a veteran PG to just give the rookies someone to balance them out.
