Tyler Herro

I am curious, that despite all the good ideas that have been discussed on the Forum regarding the Draft/Trades, why don't we try to trade for Tyler Herro.

He's young and a great shooter. Tough mentality.

A situation in Miami may brew given that if Miami wins the Finals without him, he could be tradeable, or, given that he wants to play, and is still sidelined, he could get frustrated with the organization?? I'm just speculating here...I don't know the answers.

Thoughts?

I think he could be in play and I'd love to add him but I don't know that MIA would be happy with picks and cap space and we really don't have young win-now talent that would be worth it.

I do not want to face Suggs 4x a season or watch him become Riley's next killer.

I seriously doubt Miami trades him, much less to their in state rival. Herro would definitely fit that young 2 guard we’d need though.

Love him but he's hurt a lot and is a defensive liability.

It will be interesting to see can he play in game 3 .

He is overpayed but much better alternative than Poole.

The only trade I can recall between Miami and Orlando is Shabazz Napier is a cash considerations salary dump.

These are not two teams that would naturally be trade partners.

Orlando's team defense schemes can hide an individual player. Orlando needs scoring.

Bulls fan here, we are discussing trading Zach to you like in a bleacher article suggested:

G Jalen Suggs, SG Gary Harris, PF Jonathan Isaac, 2023 first-round pick (No. 11 overall), 2025 first-round pick (lottery-protected)

What are your thoughts about that?

Too much IMO.

I am higher on LaVine than a lot of others around here, but I really wouldn't want to give up Suggs.

All the other stuff I'm fine with.

I agree with drsd...

Herro's a defensive liability, but this team has needed scoring, and scoring for years.

I would not pass on him if he were to become available or doable in a trade.

pass. You arent taking into account his giant contract. and he gets hurt every year and misses games.

I would just assume give Bruce Brown $35m for 3 years than to give Lavine $178m for the next 4.

Stats don't equal wins.

Lavine, Franz, and Paolo aren't getting any farther than the Bulls did.

I dont think Lavine is quite a negative contract but given injuries the Bulls shouldnt expect much more than cap relief from the Magic...

Zero interest. Not worth the money. His mentality and personality do not fit what WeltHamm want.
Also, Miami is better without him.

$40mil+/yr should be reserved for 2-way players. Zach isnt even close to a 2-way player

Suggs, Harris, DEN 1st 2025 seems light, but I wouldn't give more.

I think Miami would rather move him for a piece that could better help them win.

A player like Herro would really help though. Devin Booker would be my ideal SG for this team but Phoenix won't move him.

Can Magic waive Markelle Fultz and immediately include him in a sign and trade plus Isaac and picks for Herro?

Is it allowed?
