This would've gotten out somewhere. Though it wouldn't shock me. It doesn't seem like it's legit. I think the Magic still see him very much as part of the future of the team. I think they're opting to develop him slowly and try to curb his really bad habits when it comes to his play and injuries.

He's one of those guys if he becomes a lot more centered, increases his IQ, and doesn't play as wildly he has Star tools to be great. But again his basic understanding of the game compared to a Paolo/Wagner/Fultz hurts him. So we'll see if that changes in year 3/4 if he's still here.

Suggs has been a starter a couple of times, but he got hit with injuries. In the second half of last season, it looked like they were restricting his minutes so he wouldn't injure himself again.

I just don't see this. I see an average NBA athlete who doesn't quite understand his limitations yet, and that is what leads to his injuries.

His offensive skills and iq are lacking and are behind quite a few guys we can take at 11.

It's not like he has natural physical advantages that he can build off of like Paolo and Franz.

Suggs strikes me as a player who could help a good team right now as a defender and his three point shooting may develop faster as well if he's playing next to stars. But on our young team he is trying to build his entire game on offense and I just never thought he was the best player to invest that much in.

Anthony Black has really high iq, just needs to work on the three point shot which players have shown that they can develop over time. If we take Black that will signal that the team lacks alot of confidence in any of our young guards.

This should be a big concern and a big reason I am skeptical we will draft any of the guards 6-4 or shorter. Our guards are going to start getting restless and we will have to trade one of them if we draft any of the following: Cason Wallace, Bufkin, George. At least if you draft Ausar or Black they can play with Suggs and Anthony. We need forward depth with shooting ideally and a backup big. We are way to crowded at guard with a bunch of players that think they should be starting.

I also see this news as something coming out of Chicago because they want to move off of Lavine. Of course they’d want Suggs. A Caruso and Suggs back court would be crazy defensively.
