Post draft: Pick your future guard rotation
Here’s another question since it’s been hotly debated since the draft took place.
Pick 4 guards to be the future rotation in Orlando.
No I’m not talking about next season. I’m talking about the near future. Yes, I understand this season will inform these decisions.

I see only 3 options for the near future and the 4th will come in FA (hopefully). Couldn't pick a 4th due to the unknown contract scenarios for the last 3
A scoring guard.. never heard of one.

I think Howard and Anthony are givens since they were just picked. It can go up to 4 so maybe there are other options not yet on the roster.

The thought experiment should paint a very realistic picture of WeHam's plans for the backcourt

Re: Post draft: Pick your future guard rotation
Fultz- just too much in common with our recent #6 pick, and an expiring contract so he's out.
Harris- just a decent bench player, and expiring contract.
Cole- He's not my preferred option at starting PG, but I think i would have to start him. Paolo, Franz and Suggs all improve their play making and it could work. His assist to TO ratio last season was pretty good.
Suggs- im starting him next to Cole.
Black- back up PG, let him earn a starting spot.
Howard- His defense is pretty bad, so I cant see him being a starter right now.
Cole/Black
Suggs/Howard
This wouldnt be my favorite outcome as I would still prefer to trade Fultz for a vet PG that can shoot, but if I had to choose between these 6, that is how I would go about it.

PG Fultz / Black - Black has a lot of proving to do, but there is light in his path.
SG Howard / Suggs - No way do I see Suggs being a better offensive player than Howard.
6th - Suggs. Bye Bye Cole Anthony

Fultz/Cole
Black/Suggs
OR
Black/Cole
Fultz/Suggs
Jett would be played at small forward.
We have four young good point guards on the team. The appropriate thing to do is to create a rotation and offensive/defensive strategies that make the most out of them, not throw players away in order to adhere to a certain strategy.

Remember when Kobe elbowed Jameer in the chin so hard Jameer was knocked down and sent skidding across the floor?

In no scenario should Black be playing with Fultz in a starting lineup let alone any lineup.
I'm told Fultz and Suggs doesn't work, so Gary Harris has to start next to Fultz.
Makes no sense.

I'm about to turn it into a drinking game. Any time someone trashes Fultz in a non Fultz thread or stealth Fultz thread, drink.

How? It’s a poll that said nothing about Fultz.

Yeah... a lot of us left Fultz out of our rotation completely

Go to the UTA forum if you want to discuss Fultz' future.

Based on the fan vote, Fultz would be a third stringer.
