Who would you like best for this team?

If we actually consolidated some of our assets this summer which of these players would you like the most and/ or willing to give up assets for? If you vote “other” tell us who you would like to pursue.

I voted for Brown because I think he could slide in perfect next to Paolo and Franz. I know his max contract will be a little bit scary but the cap is going up 10% every year so that # at the end won’t be as bad moving forward. Plus he is just entering the prime of his career.

Voted other-- none of the players in the list are needle moving PGs

Wait and see who becomes available in the next one to two years. Paolo is just entering his second year. Franz is entering his third. We have time.

Always easier to attract Free Agents when you have a young playoff team that needs that player to take em to the next level. Magic could grow to that in 2 years. Will be fun to watch.

Simons - age, contract, skill needs - ticks all the boxes for us.

I can envision Simons playing a lot of on-ball like a Jamal Murray East…I love that. Pure traditional PG might not be exactly what suits us best- which is lucky cuz none in sight.

I can't separate (player divided by cost), and Simons is the best value relative to both the cost it would take to acquire him and the costs he insures to the salary cap.
Plus the dude was literally born to be a Magician!
..

1. Herro
2. Simons and Jaylen tied
long distance
4. Lavine
5. Harden

In terms of current talent I'd rank them:
Harden
Brown
LaVine
Herro
Simons
But, I think due to age and injury considerations I'd choose Simons.

Blazers Wants Tyler Herro Sent To 3rd Team In Any Damian Lillard To Heat Scenario
Yes please.
This would presumable be something like G-Harris, Anthony, Okeke, and the Denver 1st. I would be very happy with this trade to get Herro as the Magic off-ball guard.

Herro and Simons, neck and neck for me. Simons makes less and crazy long & athletic. Herro maybe a better creator and bigger…Herro also absolutely gettable RIGHT NOW
I can’t believe we’re not at the front of the line, we’ve got exactly what’s needed to facilitate. You just know, any minute, we’ll read about some garbage offer with a late first in 29 and 2 srps gets this guy who will go on to score 23ppg

I vote Simons also. he is a proven scorer, local ties are nice, and a very palatable contract. I would not vote Brown because of the giant deal he is about to get and i do not believe he is worth it. I also believe Simons is gettable right now, as Portland wants to move Sharpe to the starting lineup and he is a SG not a SF

What is a three team trade that works between the Magic, Blazers, and Heat that lands us Herro? I just took a poke at it and came up unsatisfied.

The problem for Orlando is that Portland won't want Anthony, and has limited value now for G-Harris as an expiring.
Isaac, Okeke and the Denver first isn't going to get there.

Bane just got a 5/207 extension. That's a designated rookie extension. We can only have two...assuming we will be saving those for Franz and Paolo.

To Miami
-Damian Lillard
-Chuma Okeke
To Orlando
-Tyler Herro
-Jusef Nurkic
To Portland
-Kyle Lowry's expiring
-Jonathan Isaac's expiring
-Gary Harris' expiring
-Wendell Carter
-Jamie Jaquez
-Nikola Jovic
-2025 Denver 1st
-2028 Heat 1st
-2030 Heat 1st
This isn't
great for Portland, but they get two young cost controlled guys, three firsts, and a capable starting center while clearing out both of their worst contracts.

It's not. The designated rookie extension is 2/260 which Haliburton, Ball and Edwards just got.
Bane got a standard max contract.

BEST I've seen so far. Well done! Tough to include that much cap flexibility AND a player that is just a tier below trade value wise. Would you do it for Orlando?
