Really interesting hypothetical.

I went with Black | Jett | Ingles | Paolo | Moritz

I think this team has the best playmaking, foul drawing, ISO game, and shooting.

The clincher is Ingles, playing a point forward role and providing a veteran and steadying presence.

I think all the games would be pretty close.

Edit: also have to factor in injury history, which would favor Paolo's team as well.

He said this part shouldn't be taken into consideration.

True, I'd factor it in as a sort of endurance factor.

Probably the 1st team, honestly. Toss up between that and the 2nd team.

Every year people forget how non-impactful rookies are and the 3rd one has two of them, Moe Wagner who is a sieve on defense, old man Ingles and Paolo, who is good but doesn't impact the game like that yet. Not sure how that's winning 3-0-0.

1st team has 3 starters (Fultz/Gary/Franz), Okeke can literally just be a defender and Goga just needs to be a big body and I think they take it quite easily.

2nd team wins. JI and Suggs suffocates best backcpurt and best frontcourt player on the opposing team while Cole chucks their way to victory

.

That'd be my feeling too. It's between Team 1 and Team 2, with not much in it either way. Team 2 has only one starter, but also only Houstan as a liability. Despite the nice b balance of Team 2, I'd lean towards Team 1, because Franz.

How is either team 1 or 2 going to outscore team 3? Paolo will feast with that kind of shooting, and Black, Paolo, and Moritz are all good at getting to the line.

Edit: they'll have to double Paolo and that shooting will cook them, then if they play him straight up he'll cook them.

Also, Moritz is cooking WCJ and Goga on offense, and that team is long boi and will switch on everything.

I wish I could see this IRL. I'd put money on the line and steal everyone's money. :D There's nothing I'm more sure about than team 3 being the worst in a 5 on 5 scrimmage at this moment.

Rooks are not getting no respect, whether NBA rules or not.. put any NBA starter in the Summer League right now and they're dropping 30 with ease lol. They're not outworking guys with experience. Not used to NBA strength either. Two of them?? BBQ chicken. And they also don't have the defenders of Suggs/Isaac to offset anything.

2 years from now? Different story.

What is fun about the offseason is how divergent our opinions as a fan base can be without any data to really align on. What will be great is when everyone realizes its obviously team three half-way through the season. :D

Considering I haven’t seen Black or Jett play in order to judge properly, I’ll roll Team 1. Harris bombs 3s, Fultz gets into the paint/midrange, Franz does it all. Okeke and Goga play D. But really mostly I’m going Team 1 because Franz is a winner.

Like people have said, rookies don't know how to play winning ball, so I think a healthy team 2 (copium) would win. By far the best pf/c combo, pretty solid guard combo. Just have to overcome Houstan, who can hopefully at least hit catch and shoot 3's and be passable on d.

The only one who can defend well on the 3rd team is Franz. The only who can shoot well on the second team is Cole. The only playmaker on the 1st team is Fultz (assuming it is Mo Wagner).

What’s really funny is that this could be a practice game. I wish we could see this.

The only assumption I have is people think the 3rd team has Franz haha. He is on the first team since he is listed as the SF Wagner.

Don't forget about Suggs and to a lesser extent WCjr!

They may have to forfeit halfway through the game.

Team Paolo. Chucking Ingles in there helps with the mentality and IQ on top of Paolo and Black. Solid shooting from the 2 and 3. Good offense beats good defense.
