Would the Magic consider moving him to center full time? Would be an interesting fit otherwise.

Whoa. What are some trade frameworks that make sense? They need a PG...

It's a tricky fit unless the Magic are going to upshift both Franz *and* Paolo to 2/3 or move Siakam to full time C.
Siakam has seen a steady increase in minutes as a small ball center over the last two years though...

Having read the article, I don't think that's really what he was saying.
I think he was really saying that contract extension discussions with Siakam have not been very fruitful above all else, and that Siakam has not shown a lot of interest in participating in some of the "normal" offseason activities like attending the Summer League.

Of all trade talks to.be linked to, an allstar PF is the last i would expect to be on.
I mean do these *insiders* even know our 2 best players are forwards?

The only real way it makes sense is if they want to just embrace a small ball thing and play Siakam at center.
I guess they could also go with a giant lineup of Fultz/Franz/Paolo/Pascal/WCJ too

Just for shoots, what would it have to be? Wendell, Cole, Okeke + whatever “fair” draft compensation would be!

Ujiri might go and do full blown rebuild. Lot of people now find him overrated and one hit wonder.

i had to read it 3 times to see what the article said. Here is where Orlando is mentioned.
Per league sources, the Raptors are still listening, trying to gauge the market value for their leading scorer and leading returning – in theory – playmaker. Atlanta remains a possibility, Indiana has reached out while Orlando is another team that bears watching.
am i missing something? how is that Orlando being interested?

WCJ for Siakam doesnt make sense. This seems like a pure lie.

But why?
Is Siakam starting over Paolo or Carter?
He’s not a Center and we aren’t a contender.
You could sell me on OG to an extent.

Toronto has the most extensive PR department in the NBA.
They utilize independent beat writers to generate PR for their team and players more than any other team.
Not saying the best, just the most extensive.

Weltman will never do any type of win-now move unless he has to,that news is pure speculation.
Would be more believable magic selling, fultz, wcj, isaac, harris, even anthony, for younger pieces/picks.

Time to read the Raptors board and their outlandish offers they want from us.

I don’t know if this even works but some sort of package of Cole/Gary/Denver 1st and another protected pick is something I would be okay with. It would give our roster a godly amount of size and playmaking. We would likely need another shooting threat to pair with Ingles, Houstan and Howard too. But that would be a fun team.
Problem is, I suspect Toronto would want Suggs over Cole, might even try and push for Franz and would probably want more of our picks. Masai just doesn’t give talent away. I don’t see a deal here to be made.
