Got a feeling that we'll be added to more national games this year.

First five game set is a doozy... Rockets at home and then a West coast trip right out of the gate! Blazers, Lakers, Clippers, Jazz.

Our second five game set has 4 home games and our first in-season tournament game on the road at the Nets.

Man, I think we'll honestly have a good idea if this team leveled up ten games in.

Why is there a 9 days break early december? Was thinking about coming to Orl for the first time that week, and now there are no games at all :D

Rough schedule IMO. A LOT of long stretches of road games. From mid-Dec to mid-Jan 13/18 are on the road. There's a 6/7 stretch, a 5/6 stretch, two other 4 game stretches (and one of them is actually 5 because the 11/9 game vs Bucks is in Mexico City).

There's also a decent amount of home game stretches, including a 10/11 stretch late in the season. Not sure if this stats/data backs it up, would be curious to see it, but my impression is road stretches are more detrimental than home stretches are beneficial, if that makes sense, lol. I think teams are more likely to win at home regardless of whether it's several games in a row, while road games get harder the longer and more traveling there is.

I mean I'm used to there being a couple long road trips each year, but this seems unusually concentrated. Not sure if that's normal and i'm just noticing it more this season, or if the NBA is making a more concerted effort to put things like this.

There's also 4 times I think where we play the same team back to back (thankfully not consecutive nights), 3x in the same city for both matches.

If the Magic team plays well enough through the first 3/4 of the season, that 10/11 stretch at home could be a huge push for a playoff spot/higher seed (though it's followed by a 5/7 road stretch right before the season ends).

Not a fan of this schedule, rough draw IMO.

And a 4-game West Coast trip after one home game to start the season. I don't think I've ever seen that.

Is ownership being punished? Of course this really only hurts the players and coaches. I've never seen any indication that ownership cares if this team wins or loses.

I remember SVG calling out the NBA a few years ago for giving good teams an easier at home early schedule so they could get more practice time before the tough games.

If a team is scheduled to play a bunch of nationally televised games, they'll want to inflate their record early.

Knockout round for the in-season tournament. They will be scheduled once the group play is done.

Not sure if anyone caught some of the channels but I distinctly remember when I had Bright House cable that 34 was Nickelodeon, 35 was Disney and 64 was FOX (not Bally) that used to show the Magic games. *I might be wrong on the FOX1 can't remember but I thought it was cool how they matched the channels to the art. :)
