So the question for the 2023/24 season:

Will Orlando have an Allstar this season?

I feel that Paolo and Franz have a chance but only if this team get off to a good start and it’s led by them. Honestly, I don’t know.

I think we certainly have two All Star level talents with Paolo and Franz, whether they make the all star game roster is another matter entirely. But they’re talented enough. The rest of the roster are good players with lots of potential and will have flashes of brilliance.

Both Paolo and Franz could be 20 point scorers this year. I think Franz might have the slightly better chance at All-star since he's going into his 3rd year and is closer to figuring things out. The only choice that would truly surprise me is the "some other player" choice. No idea who that would be. No, Paolo, Franz and Both are all choices I could see and wouldn't be terribly surprised (maybe a bit regarding the "both" choice).

I would say 50-50 chance of seeing at least one of them in the all-star game. Paolo did lose the Italian vote though. In fact they might vote for his closest competitor for the all-star spot just to spite him

It was a tossup for me between Paolo and no one. I think Franz will be the guy who is always on the cusp but won't make it unless Orlando is a contender the year prior and is killing it the current season (i.e. if we go the ECF this year and then we're in the Top 3 of the East next season, maaaybe he finds a way in with good stats).

Paolo, if he doesn't have a sophomore slump and puts out good numbers has a decent chance. But again, only of Orlando is a playoff team when selections are happening. If we're outside the playoffs he's not getting in even with great numbers (unless they're Top 10 in the league numbers).

edit: I wound up voting Yes for Paolo, as i'm an optimist, haha.

I think the league is watching LBJ/Curry/KD/CP3/Dame and the rest shambling towards the sunset and Booker/Tatum/Luka can't hold on because Ja/Zion/Kawhi has too much baggage...

They need to manufacture new upcoming superstars and I think one of Paolo/Franz could be it.

If we can stay healthy the first half of the season and in the playoff hunt, I can see Paolo making it as he will most likely be our leading scorer. We would need to be a top 4-5 team in the East I believe to get two all stars. Unless Fultz comes out and just goes crazy, I think it would be Paolo & then Franz if anyone on this team.
